That is very neat. I usually have a turnigy meter cable tied temporarly to the handlebars with a few feet of heavy cable. I also have a spare shunt resister that would do for a project like this or i guess i could connect it to the shunt in my controller. Is the meter waterproof do you think...

As i am understanding it....the throttle signal makes the controller reduce PWM smoothly, but also sets a threshold of current limit which does block current flow...hence the pulsing of the on/off current limit i am experiencing with my lastest controller. I have no way of adjusting this...

I 've been reading this with interest. I can say that my tongxin controller gives a frequency of 90hz. It doesn't offer any other modes. The same controller runs a bafang8fun hub at 15mph. It will also run my other 260rpm hub at 23mph(in a 26" wheel). Considering the rpm of the motors before...

Jbond, correct, the controller doesn't know how much power is being taken from the battery. There are conditions where a lot more power is being used you are probably unaware of...usually at low speed. Backing off the throttle will reduce power, but if yours is anything like mine, it's either...
