I wasn't completely sure but now having read your comments i think mine is doing this. After returning the throttle to zero and retrying it was ok. Another upgrade....i guess this is what happens with new stuff.

My experience with speedict so far is, that you virtually hand over the controller throttle voltage to speedict. In throttle mode with speed control set (say at 15mph) speedict can give anywhere between 0 & 100 (port 4 digital scaling) which is reflected in min/max throttle signal voltage...

For the moment i'm happy with my settings in throttle mode. I am intending to use road legal 1 when i fit a pedelec sensor. I have just powered mine up again and zero throttle response. Unplug port 4 throttle cable to controller and reconnect. Throttle works and speedict limiting to 15mph as...

Has yours crashed again? oh dear!! I updated mine about a week ago, took 10mins and reached 100% no problems. Mines a Samsung Galaxy GT-i8150 no idea what rom etc (not sure how to find that info...) Had problems with no o/p from port4 but since i reloaded firmware, port4 has worked ever since...

Dave, I did wonder that, but never checked it out. I set the bike parameters in mph and centigrade and would expect that to show in the port status. However, I have just changed the temperature to Fahrenheight and port status shows Centigrade live view is Fahrenheight. You've got it right...

Hi Danny The bike is now on a stand so i have been testing my speedict controller. I have a few questions Once again, in throttle mode port 1 speed, port 2 throttle in, port 3 temp, port 4 throttle out I have downloaded the lastest s/w upgrade. It works ok, but if i check the port status...

Yes, the adjustment screw is for setting the gap for both shoes as they are joined at that point. The freeplay at the lever end is taken up by the spring on the cable (you can see it in the first picture). I think it's always nice to know how the insides work so when you adjust the screw you...

    Bicycle Alarm & Pager

Jerry, people here are adults have been around long enough to know when something should be taken at face value. I cannot understand why forums get like this, it is rediculous. It's only about electric bikes. Most of us are treating them as hobbies, to be enjoyed. It's not like it's important...

Since when? One person gets in a strop and announces he leaving and it's been noticed the threads are getting 'too involved'. My thoughts are, if you want the forum to reflect the subject matter you like, get posting, not leave.

A quick test ride down the hill and i'm a happy ebiker. Disclaimer: This is posting purely for those who have an interest in how things work and want to fix or maintain things. I wouldn't have spent my time writing and uploading pictures for any other reasons. If jus one person reads it...

    Servo brake

I further dismantled it, and cleaned it up. Applied a little grease to the mechanism and re assembled it. Put the brake and hub back on the bike and adjusted the slack on the second lining. This is the reason why the brakes would lock. As the first lining touched the drum surface it would...

    Servo brake

Hi everyone. I had a slight brake problem with my electric folder. (For those that didn't know, i bought it from ebay and fitted my own battery). When ever i applied the rear brake it would lock on and send me snaking down the road like Evel Kneival..... When it warmed up a bit, the brake...

If they're built after 1999 you bet they are. My 1958 Volkswagen Beetle isn't though. Anyway, happy new year to you Danny.

OK Danny The log file you see was the last settings i tried. I have tried speed/gain and time/gain at 50 previously. I have ordered a bike stand to lift the rear wheel to make testing easier. When that arrives i will try again with throttle type disabled. Give me a few days.

    Regen with LiPo Q.

OK thanks Jeremy. Maybe i am a bit fearful of doing permanent damage or causing weakness to the cells i think i'll set them at 3.7V for extra caution. The folder is really used for the convience factor of nipping into town and back rather then longer trips. I would like to keep the cells at a...

    Enjoy

Every bike ride i go on is enjoyable (apart from the time my controller packed up and i had to pedal it :0) It's the most enjoyable part of the day. I never look forward to going to work but the short bike ride makes it bareable and the bike ride home again is always bliss. The only time i don't...

    Regen with LiPo Q.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but seeing as we're talking RC lipo. I've recently added 2 more 5ah packs to my folder (4s2p to make 10ah). I had a problem recently where a cell went bad. After posting on ES about it, it seems i ran the voltage levels too low and only had 5ah. (However i still...
