    Chain jumping off front sprocket

Hi gear change seams slick and smooth and have no problems whatsoever on roads but when I occasionally ride on pavements and bump down then up a series of low kerbs the chain jumps off the front chainring. Although not every time and I don’t believe it to be speed related, it’s occurred too...

Gtech bike runs on max only

The Gtech battery will remember the setting when switching off ie will show max or eco when switched back on. Try to always switch to Eco before turning off. 99% of problems originate at the motor cable, even fractionally separate. Disconnect and reattach securely. Might help hopefully

    Gtech City Battery Red Lights

Gtech batteries show fault codes, once pulled the motor cable apart slightly and battery showed red lights but a fault code twenty something, so was easily traced. If no code then must be new base controller but try all connections first.

Next! Going from Giant Dirt-E to what? Struggling!

Hands up vfr 400 may have exaggerated the avg mph slightly, wife’s told me millions of times about it, but to be fair a section of the ride approximately a mile, is a pedestrian shared promenade/pavement seafront where speed is very much decreased. The second of these 2 rides is the only time...

Next! Going from Giant Dirt-E to what? Struggling!

16.5 kg minus kick stand, rear rack, lights, bottle cage and with lighter tyres comes in around 15 kg certainly not trying to pull the wool over anyone’s eyes. This route is 4.7 miles short of stated ride but the elevation of the remaining miles is 150 ft on good roads

Next! Going from Giant Dirt-E to what? Struggling!

Another vote for the woosh Faro I own one with the internal battery and regularly ride 20 miles with elevation of about 1100ft this achieved at average 15.5 mph No drag after passing assist level and the bike can motor using no assist. I normally return with 3 bars remaining on display.Mine...

    Woosh Faro Review

Bike looks great, did the 32c tyres fit okay I’m guessing that’s the limit of size if also fitting mudguards.

    Paintwork protection ?

Electricians tape wound as neatly as possible on anywhere that may rub scrape or scuff. Easy on a black frame but tape comes in a variety of colours just match as close as possible.

    Exploding Tyre!

Happened with a caravan jockey wheel (inflatable type) but during the heat of the day whilst enjoying a tipple with friends. Had everyone diving for cover thinking it was the gas bottle in the front locker.

    Buying advice

Consider the woosh Faro have ridden both and in my opinion they are similar in weight and assist capabilities, the internal battery in the Faro gives more than 5 miles extra range and like the Gtech it doesn’t scream E BIKE

    Parallel batteries

So with that converter fitted then the Faro can be ran as a duel battery option? After purchasing a down tube fitted battery of course. Also with the option of running with just the internal battery when longer range isn’t required. Sounds very appealing for the price of a battery and converter.

Faro 8ah internal battery range review

Quick update the Woosh Faro is a great lightweight ebike, great on road and light well surfaced tracks. Is fast rolling and easily pushed along, responding quickly to riders input. Have now done close to 500 miles and tackling some of weardales steepest gradients the bike for me has just enough...

    Display predictive battery range

Thanks for replies first time I’ve had the bike in weardale will have to watch some of the larger ascents carefully, many of which are great/terrible depending on your point of view. Watching the tour of Britain come through Stanhope last year inspired me but may need a reality check for some of...

    Display predictive battery range

Hi does the display use predictive battery range which is proportional to present load exerted on the motor ? Whilst on a ride after about 2 miles in I tackled a steep incline approximately 1 1/2 miles in length with 7.8% sections and in level 5 assist and second gear pushing hard crested...
