Der fliegende Holländer ? Apparently even RN use AIS when going into/out of port. We see many huge ships lying off shore on a regular basis - St Brides Bay. But they tend to be painted red, blue, black, etc. Is Ship Radar 24 the best (free?) app for IOS?

I am aware of quite a number of people who found PF improved or totally resolved when their thyroid issues were properly addressed. Yes - I take levothyroxine but some take liothyronine or a combination. Hypothyroidism has many, many effects. And a lot are not properly recognised. For me...

Dietary fat has much less impact on cholesterol than many think. And sugars have much more. I do consume carbohydrates - but relatively little as sugar. More often rice, wholemeal bread, potatoers and cake (which is also often at least partly wholemeal).

I avoided statins by having very low cholesterol. Despite that lowness, I did indeed have a doctor telling me I should take them. I declined (the medicine, not my health).

One of the two things in my order came from Dunfermline. They seem to have married now - both have the same nearest depot departure times and ETAs. I could understand Dunfermline to serve the north of Scotland but relying on back and forth across the Forth (sorry... :) ) always seemed mad. As...

I try to use other vendors when possible - so long as I don't end up being fleeced! Bizarre that some companies that sell via Amazon also sell direct. And there is no predicting which way will be cheaper. I usually leave a few trinket-level items in my saved items list. Just tried your trick...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Crazy world of deliveries. I wanted one item which I could only find on Amazon, and they had a minorly damaged warehouse option. These things are (often) fine - but that meant the cost was below free-delivery £20. Eventually found something I did want that would take me into free delivery...

"U-turn" Johnson strikes again. More visas! New tanker driver visas. Troops will actually drive tankers from Monday. More fruit & veg. visas. From outside, it seems to have taken an awfully long time to get a military driver into the position of actually delivering. Hope they are quicker at...

candidate (n.) "person who seeks or is put forward for an office by election or appointment," c. 1600, from Latin candidatus "one aspiring to office," originally "white-robed," past participle of candidare "to make white or bright," from candidus past participle of candere "to shine," from PIE...

Some schools in the area definitely have timed reduced speed limits. One has electronic signs which look pretty much exactly like ordinary speed signs and switch between 20 and 30 (I imagine on a timed basis). Agreed that a traffic light approach might make sense. But it might be largely...
