    BBSxx throttle useful information

Thanks for offer Michael. Same as you though, I'm happy with the pedal assist. I did change from 9 levels to 5 though, and found it to be spot on with the way I ride. As for the throttle mode, mine was from Eclipse too. They were sent to Eclipse from Bafang wrongly programmed, so they had to...

    BBSxx throttle useful information

A while ago, I posted that my BBS02 throttle acted like a switch when connected. I deemed this as unsatisfactory and decided not to have a throttle on the bike. Since then, I have found out the reason why it acted this way. Here is a quote from Paul at Em3ev. '' The BBS02 kit is configured...

battery and controller in a rucksack?

Mike is right about just having the battery in a back pack. At least you'll have only the one connector to disengage if you have a tumble or forget to disconnect before dismounting. The controller would need multiple connectors to disengage which is just too risky  Wow, all these dis words :p

battery and controller in a rucksack?

Battery is doable, but controller too, probably not a good idea, safe or particularly easy! Any chance of posting a piccy of your bike?

    Rip off death trap?

Now, if someone were to start selling powerful bikes based on Em3ev's full suspension frame, with some added quality components, then that might be worth £3000. http://em3ev.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=209

    Rip off death trap?

Amazing, I've had less than 7 years of electric bike experience that the seller quotes, and I've managed to build two bikes that are far more robust and safer to ride than his contraptions. Both came under 1500 quid too. Ok, they're not capable of 50mph, but at least I know my limits! I mean...

    Headset collar tightening?

So, if these two collars were to become loose, would there be a risk of the handlebar stem from coming out?

    Headset collar tightening?

Checking my bike today, I found the top collar on the headset to be loose. This is the actual heatset: I didn't have a big enough spanner, so I used a pair of mole grips. It's tighter than it was before, but I didn't want to apply too much torque in case I damaged the collar. Two questions...
