Don't let any mishaps put you off riding. The twitchy bum moments will only serve to help you be better prepared, the next time you come across that situation. As for adjusting the power ramp up , I'd hate to think how twitchy a 750w BBS02 would be with less ramp up :eek:

My local Halfords always has a bearded fat bloke from some parking company, patrolling the carpark. Whenever me and missus visit, we play a game of spot the fat bloke lol. It has a 2 hour parking limit, and I guess the Gimli clone slaps a fine on your car as soon as you exceed the time limit...

Alcedo Italia custom ring. With the standard Bafang chainring, I couldn't use the lowest two gears. The chainline is much improved with the Alcedo, but I can still get the odd issue with the lowest gear. I adjusted that one out to eliminate this issue, as I didn't want the chain coming off...

Nice... Hope you gave the bike a good clean afterwards, or you'll end up with no drivetrain left :p

Just for comparison with kinninvie, I'm using a 42T chainring and 11-13-15-18-21-24-28T at the rear. I've dialled out the 32T on my rear cassette, as it can sometimes throw the chain off the chainring on rougher ground. Don't miss it with the 750w though. I use the 11T quite often on flat...

As d8veh suggests, It can only be the pedal sensor if the throttle is working. I can't remember from when I had a Cyclamatic, but if the pedal sensor wire to the controller is exposed, then maybe the wire has been damaged when the chain came off, or the connector has been yanked out of its...

I was just merely suggesting, that if you wanted to follow KMC's instructions by not using a solvent to clean the chain, then that particular cleaner doesn't contain solvents. Of course it's going to strip the innards of grease too! In reality, KMC are really implying not to remove all factory...

I used to run a MAC 10T rear hub with a 30A controller at 48v. Now I have a Bafang BBS02 25A 750w 48v. I have tackled very steep hills with the Bafang, that the MAC would have stalled on. Although fairly similar in total power, this is all down to the Bafang's ability to utilize the bikes...

If it is a Cyclamatic, is the throttle still working?
