Burisch offroad electric bike, new for £649 on ebay

Yeah its easy to adjust the stem height. Just look at it slowly and you can work it out.

Cyclist jumps red light & very severely injures pedestrian - fined only £800

Hey Mike. I think bottom line is that you can't reply on 'laws' or rules to guide your behaviour - not unless you get absolutely every other person in the universe to abide by them - even at green lights I check to make sure nobody the other way is jumping the lights - I learned this staying...

Cyclist jumps red light & very severely injures pedestrian - fined only £800

Why do I jump the lights? Because the other ten cyclists 'waiting' do too - and why do they? Because there's nothing coming, there are no pedeatrians and the lights remain on red only because we dont have the technology that detects that and can respond. Mike are you saying at 3am at a...

Cyclist jumps red light & very severely injures pedestrian - fined only £800

I like the system in California where you're allowed to turn right on a red providing nothing is coming and there's no pedestrians (remember they drive on the opposite side so the equilivant would be us being allowed to turn left with the same provisos). And a big yes to what you say about...

At least we're doing well at sport

I live about 2 miles from the courts - its been raining all morning - I bet the roof will be on.

Burisch offroad electric bike, new for £649 on ebay

How fast? I think it might have been slightly over 15mph.

Burisch offroad electric bike, new for £649 on ebay

Unfortunately I think the proper solution is a new frame! (front and rear cogs are too close basically). With the Chainring (front large cog on the crank for those new to the names here) and rear-set that close my hunch is that anything beyond a 46T messes up the geometry too much - which is...

Burisch offroad electric bike, new for £649 on ebay

Sorry I meant its still too fast peddling with a 50T chainwheel and 14T at the back.

Burisch offroad electric bike, new for £649 on ebay

Good news and bad news. You can get 50T chainrings - they are not cheap though - I paid £50 - and you know what? Its still too slow AND the chain comes off a LOT - as in I had to stop it going into first gear and even then the chain comes off - I have now got an 11-28 rear freewheel cassette...

Cyclist jumps red light & very severely injures pedestrian - fined only £800

I once motorcycled through the centre of Chennai (in India) - it was a wonderful dance - quite crazy by UK standards and you really had to watch what you were doing - but somehow most of the time everybody got through with no accidents - but you really did have to be aware - its the lack of...

Cyclist jumps red light & very severely injures pedestrian - fined only £800

You obviously dont live around here where there's a set of lights every 200 yards - no cyclist in their right mind stops at a red light round this part of London! - as neither do the pedestrians - we all manage just fine with this arrangement - you just pick your moment and its all fine - one or...

Burisch offroad electric bike, new for £649 on ebay

Well I've got a Burisch and an Oxygen e-mate and there's not much difference in the noise - not to me - maybe the Burisch is fractionally nosier but not that it bothers me and I am usually pretty sensitive to that kind of thing.

Burisch offroad electric bike, new for £649 on ebay

On the scales - with no mudguards lights or anything mine came in at a fraction over 20Kg so yes you're right on the weight. The throttle is reasonably gradual but the peddal-assist is not. It's very much once you peddle and it kicks in thats it you're off untill it reaches terminal speed...

Just what I was looking for.

OK - Wikapedia says this: 3-8 speed - 7.2mm (all brands) 9 speed - 6.8mm (all brands) 10 speed - 6.2mm (Shimano) 10 speed (narrow) - 5.9mm (Campagnolo) 11 speed - 5.5mm (Campagnolo) Which seems to go against what you say there. I may just try it with the chain already on...

Burisch offroad electric bike, new for £649 on ebay

Personally I found the bike pretty much useless with the standard chainring. I now have a 50T on there which is much better while I await the arrival of an 11-28T rear cog-set.

Stolen - Kalkhoff Pro Connect Disc

The lesson for all here I think is to dont rely on those extension cables as the main lock to the ground - you have to use a quality U-bar as the main lock to the ground - otherwise they can cut those extension cables and worry about any inter-bike lock you have later once they have it where...

    England

Quite a lot. Rod Stewart - the sex pistols - David Bowie - Duran Duran - sheesh - I mean LOTS has happened. Then there was Blair - and all that - and Brown - and the crash - and now here we are. And thats the long version. But more importantly I bought an Oxygen e-bike which is an...

Stolen - Kalkhoff Pro Connect Disc

Well if the guy (or gal) who returns to the bike is smaller than you then there's that option (ie wait till they unlock the bike then go claim possession) - if they're bigger than you take lots of pictures and follow them at a safe distance. Then call 999 when they park up at their house. :-)
