    Where to get Batteries

Well spotted, I thought I hadn't left any ID info on the jpeg!!! The site does calculate postge which halves from 90$ to 45$ if five were ordered, more likely to attract HMC attention though. Thought it would make more sense to let them reply to my email first!! Can't find anything like it in...

    Where to get Batteries

Done a bit of research, without wishing to tread on Flecc's toes for his excellent work. Found this and have put a piccie on one of my sites. 24v battery pack They do a charger for 35$ with bulk discounts available. 10ah could be interesting if the postage is not crippling, have sent...

    Where to get Batteries

Cool it please guys!! These things get totally out of hand on forums and mushroom clouds soon develop, I moderate on enough!!!! My original post was flawed from the schoolboy physics of battery series/parallel amperage. I had not gone deeply into cost at that point, but was looking at...

    Where to get Batteries

Thanks guys (as always). I like the idea of ripping out the powabike battery guts. Looking at these possible cells, am I missing something??? EuroBatteries. Full Satisfaction Full Refund They are suggested at 9000mAh super HD batteries 'D' type 1.2v tagged for building cells. Assuming I...

    Where to get Batteries

Has anyone thought of recelling a Giant pack themselves?? It only appears to be 20 'D' type cells inside, can't be that difficult. Chris.

    Tyre Sealant

As a long term motorcyclist I have always used sealant or 'Gorilla Snot'. It got me home over 100 miles a few months ago when I spooted a roofing tack up to the hilt in one tyre. Have a good New Year all. Chris

Have you had a cycling accident?

One here since joining the electric bike community. Sampled several varieties of strong ale at the local beer festival. Short 1.5 mile country lane ride home on the lafree, so no problem apart from one short steep downhill with right angle right at the bottom. Proceeded very carefully...

    What's the fastest you've been ?

Had to try down our hill after reading this thread 34.5mph on my Lafree twist comfort with the 4 speed hub, peddling like the clappers, so not bad!! brakes are pretty ineffective after the first couple of seconds grab. Will try again tomorrow if the winds in the right direction!!

    Lafree Twist Comfort Charger

Will do, Hopefully it won't be a problem for you. A deceased owner meant mine was left unused in a garage so that it missed the recall of the chargers that were faulty. Chris.

    Lafree Twist Comfort Charger

Sniffed around on this and can get the Powabyke charger for £40, lot cheaper than £120 from the jobsworth lot at Giant. Chris.

    Lafree Twist Comfort Charger

Hi Flecc and many thanks. Does the Metco have the same plug as the Panasonic charger please?? I've found the replugging will nudge it up a bit at a time, but its a pain in the proverbial if your out for a few beers!! Many thanks once again, Chris.

    Lafree Twist Comfort Charger

Hi All, I've recently bought my first electric bike in the form of a brilliant Lafree Twist Comfort (4 speed), ideal for me in a hilly rural area near Dover as senile decreptitude approaches. The original owner of the bike took sick and died six months after buying it new, the bike was...
