    Ebike battery fire

Oh dear, I wish you could understand nuance. I am NOT saying German engineering is terrible, my point is that you can't say it is the be all and end all and it is certainly not as good as it was decades ago, when it really was something. Yet, there is still this myth that the gullible are all...

    Ebike battery fire

The one doing the rounds on the BBC now is interesting. Looks like a bag battery on the bike, but that is not the one that burns, that is hidden behind a box and is out of shot. Plus you can clearly see the rider has a massive hub motor, probably 1000W. So maybe the owner was flouting the rules...

You are hilarious. I'm sure the people in your local bike shop think the same - but are all too glad to take your money. So you've been totally taken in by the German engineering myth? I'm not saying German engineering is terrible, but it's not what it was 30 to 40 years ago. I have bought...

    VanMoof gone bust

Like when Facebook crashed and Facebook employees couldn't get into the building to solve the problem as their log in was through Facebook...People locked out of their Teslas...etc etc. I can't understand why so many people are so blind.

    Reliable Voltage Meter ?

Got a chance to try the Watt meter I mentioned earlier in the sun today. Seems nice and visible.

Is it true you need an app to be able to use the bike?

    E-Trike

Ok, let us know how you get on with it :) I try to avoid heavy rucksacks these days. Panniers I quite cheap and very useful, and if it's a weekly shop I tow a trailer.

    E-Bikes: The phenomenon, The Problem.

When I last lived in London the only place I could get was over £600 per month for a single room in a HMO in Zone 2, not including bills and that was over 10 years ago. I dread to think what it is now.

Another factor is the decline of the rental market. A lot of landlords are giving up and selling, it's not worth their while any more, so a lot of people renting have no option but to look at buying.

I still think you'd get better value donating the money to your local food bank. Anyway, enjoy.

Following on from my introduction to this forum I have questions

You need to put a meter across the different cell banks and identify which one is low. Then, use something like a Poundland USB bank, take the circuit out of it and desolder the battery inside and instead connect that to your bank that is out of balance. Allow it to charge the bank to the same...

    E-Bikes: The phenomenon, The Problem.

I think house prices will drop a bit, but they will not collapse. There are too many people and too little available housing stock, so in the long run prices will go back up again.
