Oxygen Emate City 2011 / Link for a new chain ring if possible

Thank you all for your kind replies. I used the "Understanding BCD" link from Raboa to measure the gap between two of the 5 bolts that attach my chain ring and confirm that it is 130BCD I am about to look myself, but the Old Oxygen Emate City Road bike that I have two of has a single chain ring...

The tale of a £100 second hand electric bike.

I am not sure it is weird. My own commute to work and back either cross country on my Haibike or on the road on The Oxygen have also become a very important element in my feeling of well being. I am sure I will miss them as much as you have done. It is quite hard work to be organised and plan...

The tale of a £100 second hand electric bike.

Sub Zero Commuting Just finished 4 early turn jobs at work, Friday the 5th through to yesterday Monday the 8th. The weather was zero and sub zero cold on the way into work and pretty cold coming home. I was lucky to only be on call on Sunday and as I am beginning to expect now, stayed at...

Oxygen Emate City 2011 / Link for a new chain ring if possible

I wondered if anyone knows the correct style/BCD chain ring to order as a replacement for the standard 52 tooth one on my old Oxygen Emate City circa 2011. A link to one would be appreciared. Also a link to a suitable replacement brake rotor. It attaches with six small bolts. I need one for...

    battery charging issues

I have found my Lithium ebike batteries very good, long lasting and retaining very good capacity and range. But I use my bikes all year round so the batteries are being used regularly. That said, the one on my Haibike can go around 4 weeks without being used and very occasionally longer. I...

    Woosh Rio crashing in style

I thought you could use a pavement, with due consideration for pedestrians, if it allowed you to avoid part of a route that you believed was too dangerous. I do occasionally, but by due care I mean slowing to a stop if necessary, using my tring tring bell, smiling and saying hello. etc etc.

Help! Recommendations for Very Heavy Rider?

I am sadly over 110kg at the moment and my two Chinese derived Oxygen rear hub road bikes of circa 2011 vintage are still going strong, although I had to make myself familiar with changing the odd spoke and tensioning spokes evenly in the rear wheels, never had any trouble with the front, but I...

    Help! New chain needed ?

If you are not interested in going off road and by that I mean the more adventurous demanding and technical stuff, you would probably be much better served by a simple geared rear hub motored bike. I have both and use my old 2011 rear hub motored bikes for the majority of my road riding...

Hi Dom T, I think you hit the nail on the head, it is the real uplift in mood from riding in the great outdoors that at the moment with us all locked away and on our own much more than usual is every bit as important as the exercise. I started early in the morning today, so rode on the road to...

Help! How long your chains/cassettes last for +500W middrive motors? Does middrive make sense for commuting?

For commuting on the road a simple geared rear hub motor will remove rather than add stress to your drive train and your drive train will therefore last a lot longer.

What a difference a day makes....24 little hours I gave my potential ride to work on Wednesday a miss as that was the day Christoph poured down water upon us with a fair bit of wind thrown in... I had ridden the day before when Christoph was brewing, and had a very nice and dry cross country...

    Battery longevity

I tend to agree vfr400 The battery on my 2015 Haibike is fitted externally to the down tube and very easily taken off and put on. Because of this I always remove the battery and store it in the house. I also do not store the battery fully charged. I try to only charge the battery to full...

    Battery longevity

Hi Gubbins, I bought my entry level Haibike sDuro Yamaha hard tail mountain bike in March 2015 and am still using the original 400Wh battery which will be 6 years old in March and like you although there must have been some degradation it still works amazingly well using the same amount of its...
