The cicular ring , best seen on picture three, has threads on the inside, that don't seem to do anything, I wonder if part of it is missing? and the wire is very loose.......Del.

Here it is, the the suspect plug, even with charger not connected it is shorting [ power from battery I suppose] gotta get it fixed asap.....Del.

On the Powacycle Salisbury front forks, there are two ''thingies''....gators ?...anyone know where I could obtain two of these ? as the one's on mine have become brittle, and have split. ....Del.

flecc, yes the plug is definatley shorting, I don't suppose you can buy them seperately, so will get it looked at. .......Del.

flecc, there seems to be a problem with the plug that goes into battery, it seems loose, when I wiggled it about red light came on, and it is now charging, I think this is one for an electrician, maybe take plug off and re-attach it......Del.

Just put battery on charge, and LED is showing green, have only done about ten miles on bike since last charge, so thought would ''top it up'', is this normal? or should LED be showing red ? any help appreciated......Del.

Back brake now sorted, installed, centred and working properly, what I did discover is that there were two different sized brake blocks, the right hand side [one that failed] was smaller than left side.....bodgers huh ?? still all working properly now....aren't E-Bikes marvellous ??.....Del.

Both front brake callipers are Apse, so think the Winzip one on rear [the one that has failed] has been added at some point, the joys of cycling eh ? ;) ;)

flecc, gonna go with a complete new brake, Halfords have that one for £11.99, think Neptune is right, someone has ''bodged'' it in the past.......Del.

On closer inspection, the right hand side one [the one not working] has Winzip stamped on it, the left one says Apse, googling produces two different makers of v brakes, what on earth is going on here ??...........Del.

Have now dismantled rear brake assembly, and am convinced that mystery article is part of said brakes, some sort of spring, there is a groove in the rear of the right hand side calliper, [the one that doesn't work], and I now think that this was the spring for it, and has broken, left hand side...

Barry, Interesting to here what you have to say, I just bought a second hand Powacycle, hardly used from new, and intend to have it in tip-top condition, got a problem with brakes at moment [should be sorted tomorrow] then on to spokes, which seem o.k. tempted to tighten them slightly, but maybe...
