48v hub drive bike - (not UK legal)

Did you mean 20Ah? 2Ah battery is super tiny. Neither 750W motor nor 20Ah are "the largest". Not even close... I am glad to hear you are having fun and you are happy on your bike. We hope you or your son won't get caught while riding them. There is no point to start "my ebike is the best" flame...

Storing battery outside in winter - what insulation?

I would argue the way I charge and store batteries is 100% safe while your way is very unsafe.

Storing battery outside in winter - what insulation?

These are not safe storage ways. Both items might protect your house from fire if lucky enough, but you won't be protected from toxic smoke. Edit: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09C31KVK1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 On second picture you see two people asleep while...

Storing battery outside in winter - what insulation?

Moisture is the problem, not temperature.

    Never-tackle-an-e-bike-battery-fire-yourself-warns-fire-brigade-after-another-blaze

It always happens at night. I am sure those bloody things have inbuild timers with one purpose only: to annoy me. But I am glad to hear it happens to you too. It feels little better now when I know I am not personally targeted. :)

Do police even bother to check if an e-bike is legal?

They are delivery guys. Very useful. You are not :)

Do police even bother to check if an e-bike is legal?

And you are kind enough to have action cam with all evidence for police when they get you eventually :)

    Storing bike for winter

For over 40 years I kept up to 8 bikes in shed over winter. I was completely unaware I might have any problems with chains. I simply lublicate chains when it gets wormer and that is it.

Interestingly handlebars are scorched while Deliveroo bag survived quite well. Maybe they make them fireproof now having so many of their bikes catching fires. ;)

Safe cycle routes. Are there any really?

Your strobe light is very visible on your video. Are people complaining of it? Do you pay attention to other vehicles on the road? It seams like you are ramming through roads without slowing down or checking if there are any cars coming from left, right or behind you. It wasn't a flashing light...

Safe cycle routes. Are there any really?

At 2 min... Is it your usual near death experience riding?

Safe cycle routes. Are there any really?

Don't worry about pedestrians. Just don't ride to fast and be considerate. Roads and cars are really dangerous.

I have... None I converted 29" Carrera for my wife and then bought her electric step through, which is much more suitable for her needs. So now I use her Carrera with front hub. Far fromideal for my needs, but it is electric and it is available, so I use it. I love ebikes now. It is just so...

48v hub drive bike - (not UK legal)

No, nothing specific apart from it being not legal, but you already know that. I am just surprised you are considering buying it, that is all. I would say it is a quite expensive bike for what it is.

48v hub drive bike - (not UK legal)

It is not cheaper than kits. It is emtbso. Every component is of very poor quality. I know it is not fair comparison, but Woosh recently posted link to used £300 full sus with good components. Add mid drive kit and you can have good emtb for £750. You get what you are paying for.
