    Brexit, for once some facts.

I have been looking for data on this and it might seem that the Daily Mail had the most information .. basically 35 positive results from a sample size of 1500. Not what I would have considered a very conclusive result. Statistics was not my strongest discipline, but I had a smattering...

Those are intriguing figures. Now what fraction of that 17% never felt a thing?., Did not believe they ever had been ill?. Statistics is one of the easiest thing to make a mess of. How large were the sample populations, and how were they selected?

I think I can answer your question as posed in your first sentence... You are a troll!. Now whereas the purpose of this thread is about Brexit and related peripheral matters ..ie European , would you kindly start your own thread, so we can ignore you in peace.

About to buy but I have concerns

The tyres on the off road version are probably more expensive, and likely less comfortable than on road tyres But back to the bike. You need full mudguards and you need lamps. However you do not need any special wiring harness. Simple LED lights affixed to the bike, and purchased either there...

Yes Barry, I agree that there is not much concern about CV19 affecting children.. But there is mounting evidence that this attitude is misplaced. There are specific conditions happening with a minority of children, which in normal circumstances would be considered very serious.

Note the people in NI essentially forced the hand of the NI Executive, by withdrawing their kids. I had occasion to stop in Belfast on I believe 16th March, and it was a Ghost town. This was while the concept of herd immunity was being foisted.. but the canny NI folks are not fools. RoI had...

Well Pres. Trump will surely have met his campaign promise regarding a Wall keeping out the Mexicans. Why would anyone cross a barrier, even a line in the sand, if it means entering an infectious zone with 100 times the infection rate, per head ?. Who knew (except himself) he could be so clever!.

Well our courts are taking it extremely seriously, and it doesn't require additional legislation. People have been sentenced. Our police have been supplied with spitting hoods, for use on arrested people. The civil liberties people don't like them, but there is no public support for that stance.

Funny you should say that, my brother in Ascot , picked that location as he was traveling transcontinental ,about once or twice a week as troubshooter for a major oil company. He was telling me that he was putting in more high altitude travel than airline pilots were legally allowed!. However...

Sometime just after March 13 ,our Minister for Health walking near his office in Dublin was exactly that.. a guy in his late 30 s or early 40s runs up to him coughs into his face and runs back to his giggling girlfriend. Unfortunately not arrested.

There are two points here. An inadvertent cough is an accident, a deliberate cough is an assult. The police are more likely to be assaulted than a general member of the public, ,as they are more often in conflict situations (obviously pro rata)

Under estimate there . yesterday it 565. Now in fairness there is often a lag at weekends,so if you add the Sundays 160 and average you get your 400.

Surprise...that exactly was my point. Here in Ireland , before the advent of the Celtic Tiger phase 2000/ .2008 we would have been incredulous about the commuting distances suffered by London workers e.g from say Oxford or Hastings ,which we would have seen in sit coms . But there must also...

If I were attempting to re use a paper based mask, my strategy would be place it in a plastic bag with a table spoon of water and put the lot in the microwave oven for 5 minutes. .. total steam cleaning .. no touching. But for my purposes, a simple cloth face make, made by she who must be obeyed...

No Ross, the Science did not say masks don't work, ..that is ladybird level response. The Scientific advice was a lot more nuanced than that. Physical distancing is the best option, it is cost free and very effective. Masks are valuable when distance is not an option. Facecovering is a...

Look its really only a minor point , the actual travel distance, but a 9.2 radius covers more than half the floor area of London, by your previous comment. I am mindful of Kensington which is within walking distance of Hyde park ..I know because I walked it, and Grenfell Tower was not much...

Obviously I would bow to your local knowledge, I am aware of some people travelling long commutes, but there are obviously lots of villages within London, and lots and lots of houses and flats. With the costs of travel around London being high, I find it difficult to see nurses, bar staff...

Sorry flecc.. but 11.6 Round trip is smaller than 18 . My concern at present is not really NI, since it is outside my allowed area of travel. 5Km, current limit. It does not really concern me for my daughter either, as except for the train, she is in an isolated lab setting, and travels by...
