EBMA files an anti dumping complaint on chinese e-bikes.

I think you are right Woosh. 10,000 bikes a year would be the minimum threshold and we are no where near that yet. We are looking at a series of options including teaming up with our existing Chinese partners, so they do the buying and sourcing in China and together we set up bike building in...

    Wisper eMTB sneak preview

Thanks Steve, the battery question was a big one. On the carbon bikes we needed to keep the batteries on frame rather than in frame and it then followed that we should use the same on all 4 bikes. We have sold a lot of bikes already into the trade and their preference has generally been the...

The brake and rear mech cables were exited there because we needed to take them out of the frame before they reached the chain stays. On the Wolf we could fit the cables through the frame into the stays as they are not active. I should also say that the Wolf also has a motor guard in the...

We are looking into it now, I am off to Romania in a couple of weeks and we have already been offered manufacturing in Slovenia. It’ll cost a bit more than £10,000 though! Building bikes in Europe won’t be that tricky and wages in Eastern Europe are the same if not lower than China now. The real...

EBMA files an anti dumping complaint on chinese e-bikes.

Maybe Col, but I wonder how many UK bike manufacturers are members of the EBMA? I am pretty sure that this restrictive practice is being driven by the big two or three names that dominate the European cycle market. These guys have huge lobbying budgets as will use them to create an unfair...

I agree Mike, losing China will certainly damage the industry. The European manufacturers simply don’t like the competition. The Chinese built and expanded the market now the European manufacturers want it for themselves. Here is one remainer rapidly turning into a leaver!
