    Hi from submerged Surrey

Hi there, We are just round the corner from you. Funnily enough we are opening a new store in Surrey in a month or so. So could be a good source if local support. We mainly sell crank drive ebikes that might fall above your budget. But we can look at something like a Raleigh Velo Trail that...

    A few Bosch questions

Strange, are you possibly using a hub gear as opposed to derailleur? This can alter things. Also I spoke to Mr Bosch about the walk function and although they have increased the level slightly on newer models, they didn't want to up it too much as they were afraid of it turning into a 'lazy...

    A few Bosch questions

Artstu - Are you using the walk assist in a low gear? This makes all the difference to the output speed of the walk assist. In a hard gear the bike actually walks away from me & I'm a fast walker! Also on the newer systems the walk assist has been upped a little. Bob - You can convert the old...

First test ride on Shimano's new STEPS system

Exactly, its probably the neatest system I have seen to date, I'm sure Shimano have done a cracking job on it, just need to ride one to one to firm my own thoughts. I particularly like the fact that Shimano will probably integrate it into groupsets and drivetrains, and do a good job of it too...

HI Eddie, As explained in detail in my blog article (link in post above), the torque, assistance levels and motor rpm all stay the same. Its just the speed cut off that changes. As for the dongle all the info is on my other blog articles. But yes the speed & distance is halved. SO you just...

    Possible Haibike purchase.

Read my article here, pretty much word for word what you just said (in a little more detail)- http://www.e-bikeshop.co.uk/blog/post/whats-the-difference-between-the-250w-350w-bosch-ebike-motors-explained/ Yes we actually already do the Urban 28 as a Road Race bike. Check it out on my website...

    Possible Haibike purchase.

Hi Rob, Its the speed pedelecs that we have issues with. The Europeans are reluctant to supply a non road legal bike to us here. In Germany there are regulations in place to ride a speed pedelec. I will be happy to organise a bike for your son. I am currently in talks about the speed pedelecs...
