How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Yes,its a long way between pubs (& houses) but a great place to live, safest in the country in the crime tables. Downside is you have to ride a long way to get anywhere. Upside is Hamsterley forest is only 5 miles away and has some excellent trails. I just hope summer starts soon...

KTM Terramo Rohloff Bafang 36v500w BBS02 Complete

Didn't realise they were hydraulic. I think when you set max speed to maximum it maybe doesn't regulate it. Fastest I have been on this is 49.9mph(on gps and Strava) but I think going down a 25% hill helped there!

KTM Terramo Rohloff Bafang 36v500w BBS02 Complete

You can set your wheel size correctly and set max speed to 50kph as I have on my 29er and it pulls happily to 34Mph which I think will be faster than yours will go being a 500w as opposed to my 750w. To be honest, with those brakes, I think 30Mph will be plenty!

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I had a quick ride over the North Yorkshire moors last week. https://www.strava.com/activities/357542477 And a week earlier went up Teesdale into Cumbria https://www.strava.com/activities/352476404 The reason for one good ride a week is we have only had one day a week of decent weather...

    Stop hating ebikes

Advertising e-bikes on disability forums may be a way forward for one section of the market. For mountain bikes you need a dedicated event with press and maybe local tv coverage. Not an easy feat but possible

    Bafang central motor kit

I use KMC X8 chain and in 2077 miles have not had a single problem. I also used to change gear under power when using the first 3 out of 9 assist settings. I have fitted a pushbutton to one of the brake disconnects a couple of weeks ago and now use that when changing gear. The first chain was...

    BBS02 on the beach.

It got a real good wash just an hour later! Before setting off on this ride I gave the chain a good coating of Muc-off 4 step chain oil and its still on the chain and no trace of sand on it either. I guess thats partly because I only rode slowly through the loose stuff(not that I had a choice!)...

    Bafang central motor kit

I have a 44\t front and 34-11T rear. The 11T is only used on downhills as it alows pedalling up to 38Mph. I weigh 17 stone and with 48Ah of batteries on,the bike can weigh another 4 stone almost.

    Bafang central motor kit

I would go for the 750 for your needs as its not much more than the smaller versions and you can limit the power simply by selecting a low assist level . I started with a 250 watt motor and within weeks moved to a 1000 watt hub as the 250 could not manage my local hills at all. The 1000 was...

    Rain

I have a rechargeable led lamp on the rear and use it(flashing) whenever on main roads. The camera makes it look bright but really it was very dark and almost like night at its worst point, thats why I ended up riding on the grass verge.

    Rain

I got caught in a major thunderstorm yesterday with my BBS02 and it never missed a beat even where the road was under 4 inches of water. It was so windy it was blowing the rain sideways and I could only see 20 feet in front of me. The lightning actually burned a house down just 2 miles north of...
