    Hard to fit tyres.

I just fitted a Schwalbe Smart Sam Plus 2.1 x 29" on mine and it literally fell on. Its a wired bead type. Did an 88 mile ride to try it out including some beach riding and its spot on. The old tyre was a WTB Nine Lines and it lifted off the rim by hand just as easily. That one lasted 1500 miles...

    A Manhattan Newcastle to Edinburgh

If you stick to National cycle route 1 and ride at a leisurely 10 mph you should get 35 miles out of a battery so thats 4 days to cover the 135 miles. Plenty of spare time to enjoy the scenery and a few beers as well.

Best Ebike mileage.....on ONE battery charge

The furthest I have ridden on one charge is 101.2 miles but I still had over 10Ah left at the end. It helps to have 48Ah of battery and a BBS02 which is pretty economical anyway. Once summer arrives I intend to do a 150 mile ride over 2 days, hopefully on one charge. Top bag holds 6 x 16Ah...

    Aldi stuff today

They fit my hands better than my feet. A bit tight but hopefully they will ease off a bit when washed. Went out with the 16 litre rucksack today and was impressed by the comfort of it. I had a pair of 16Ah Multistars in a tupperware box with padding inside and they took up 2 thirds of the space...

Why the Bafang mid drive has rekindled my passion for pedelecs

You cant beat a BBS02 for all round riding fun. This was todays ride round moorland roads with a few pub stops and a ride on a couple of forest tracks thrown in as well. Check out that top speed!

    Bafang BBS02 chain line

All the standard chainrings have the same offset.I have a 44T on mine and also a 48T (but not at the same time). The 48T misses the chainstay by 1mm.

    Bafang BBS02 chain line

I use mine in the bottom 2 gears quite a lot (34 and 30T) as I have steep hills around here and also for technical twisty stuff in the forests or when mudplugging through the peat bogs. The gear I use least is top (11T) as it gets me to 34Mph but will only maintain it on the flat and not even...
