    First "off" - ouch!

Amost had an off at 45Mph on a wet road yesterday on the Trek!! Coming down a 20% hill the road levels out and bends to the right onto a bridge with stone walls either side when the back wheel stepped out but luckily I was able to straighten it and kept going. I think I frightened the car driver...

Wash bike then blow it down

I recently bought a 15Kw propane space heater as I have lots of part empty bottles of gas and now after washing my bike I give it 15 minutes heat and then cover it with an insulated bike cover.

What to look for in a bike for Bafang

Thats the price of motor only. Battery is extra. I have a BBSHD on a Marin Muirwoods hybrid and its perfect for getting up the steep hills where I live, You can run it at full power all day without worrying about burning the controller out unlike the BBS02.

Which battery for a 350 mid drive?

Best to buy the larger one as once you start riding you will want to go further. Far cheaper than having to buy a bigger one later. In my case I started with 10Ah which I thought was plenty but now I have 64Ah of batteries!

    Helmet light..

I have a Lidl bike helmet with rear light built in. I use a seatpost light mainly but its handy as a spare in case the main one goes flat ,just remember to keep looking forward!

UK or China for E-bike Kit

I have bought a few kits from http://www.eunorau-ebike.com/ via AliExpress and got good prices and delivery in 9 or 10 days. Now is the perfect time to have a look as the 11.11 sale(11 November) is their equivalent of our boxing day sales and good bargains can be had. My last BBSHD was £440...

New Member, New to E-bikes, on the edge of buying.

Hi and welcome. The amp limit on the BBS02 can be lowered using a programming cable and laptop. There are folks in your area that can help and if you need it doing after purchase send me a message. Personally I would say go for the biggest battery you can afford as long as it will fit in your...

My first crash - Gear problem

I got a snowboard helmet from Aldi 2 years ago and it covers a lot more than a bije helmet. Best thing is it keeps your ears warm.

    Blown my controller BBS02 750w :(

I only run my BBS02 on 12S as it gets really hot on 14S. 3000 miles+ of mainly big hills offroad and never missed a beat. When I did try 14S I could smell the motor getting hot and that was on tarmac and not a very steep hill either!! I still have a mark on my finger where I touvched the motor...

My first crash - Gear problem

That sounds like a cable nipped or damaged as Dv8eh suggested. Sounds as if you got off lightly really,at least you got away from the lorry!

    29er ground clearance on mtb?

My Trek 6300 and Cannondale MTB both have BBSHD fitted and never had a problem on any trails in Hamsterley Forest. My BBS02 regularly goes through a ford where the water is over the top of the motor and never been a problem in almost 3 years of use. As D8veh says it depends on the shape of the...

    Bafang Max Drive bikes

The Max was not too bad considering the lack of watts compared to a BBS02. The torque sensor worked well although with my weak legs I prefer the speed control of the BBS02. What really surprised me was the KTM Machina 273 that we also tried and ended up buying. It climbed twice as easily as the...

    Bosch battery

Thats assuming they haven't nicked the car to come and see the bike!!. Best bet is to tell them to bring some photo ID if they want a test ride. That or the full asking price in cash.

Cyclotricity 1000w kit and a specialized hard rock

My Dillenger 1000W kit came with a 10Ah battery and I could run it to lvc in 9 miles. 5Ah is going to be a short ride unless plenty of pedalling is used.

EggRider for Bafang BBS01, BBS02, BBSHD

Only problem I can see is the physical button is physically attached to the LCD ! Cant see it working well on a touchscreen unless your phone is mounted securely next to the handgrip and you have touchscreen friendly gloves (if needed).
