The power of an ebike motor shouldnt come into it at all. Wether a bike has 250 watts or 10,000 watts if its limited to 15.5 Mph then thats all it will do. It will just get to max speed quicker and keep the speed on steeper hills.

I can set my BBSHD to UK legal spec using the Dillenger switcheroonie. I tried it a while back and it works perfectly , good for riding in towns etc,not that I live near any!

Yes,thats exactly what I did,replaced the BBS02 with the BBSHD swapping only motor(and LCD as I got the colour one). I did get the full kit though so I could put the 02 on my other bike. Just make sure you get the 68mm motor and NOT the 73mm as the 68mm fits 68 and 73mm and even fits on an 83mm...
