It runs perfectly well on 12s and its a simple setup with half a dozen 16Ah Multistar batteries.
I did try it on 14s but it was too powerful and made the chain skip on the cassette in the high gears.
34Mph on the flat is quite fast enough for me,it did 39 on 14s!
I have had my bbs on a 6 speed bike with a 68mm BB and its now on an 8 speed bike with a 73mm BB and the chain works on all gears and has never come off even though I do a lot of offroading on the moors and through forests including lots of roots and small jumps.
Guess its the luck of the draw...
Connected a brake cutout this morning and when used I get error 30 followed by error 4 then it resets itself and away we go.
Easy fix,removed the cutout :)
I carry a spare tube and patches along with Co2 canisters,a spare chain, full tool kit,2 spare wiring harnesses,3 sets of batteries,2 mobile phones and a flask of brandy.
If all else fails I have a mate with a minibus who will come and pick me up.
I am attempting a 100 mile+ ride tomorrow while I have all 48Ah of batteries fitted then I will be taking the long distance bag off and concentrating on more offroading while the suns shining.
I have done over 1500 miles on my BBS02-750 with no problems at all.
I weigh 106Kg and the bikes over 35Kg and I live up on the Teesdale moors so lots of big hills around.
I am very unfit so use it hard including lots of offroading and have no heat problems at all.
Since they upgraded the...
If I do a long distance ride I always plan it pub to pub and have never had a problem when asking to charge for a couple of hours in return for buying a few brandies(too many calories in beer and lager).
I dont have this problem any more however as I can now do 150 miles to a single charge.
Good...
Did a little ride over the moors the other week as things were drying up a bit and the grouse have not really started nesting yet.
Looking forward to doing it again once they have raised their chicks.
Had a ride into town the other day and found a couple of bike tracks.
Just had a slow ride round but going back next week to see how it handles with a bit more speed.
When left fully charged deposits are attracted to the cathode which eventually degrades battery performance.
I have left mine overnight a couple of times when needing to set of early but if you do that every night you will shorten your battery life.
Having said that you will probably still get a...
My Cannondale BBS02 started jumping in the top 3 gears last week so I replaced the chain and cassette.
The original had done just over 800 miles of which about 25% is offroad and 70% is up very steep climbs.
Its also pulling 106Kg of me and 35Kg of bike and batteries.
The new chain cost £3.19...
You can indeed charge them as 10s as long as you have a charger that will do 10s.
You should not leave Lipo at full charge for any length of time as it will shorten their cycle life.
They are best kept at 3.8 volts per cell and charged just before using.
If you stop discharging them at 3.7 v per...
I bought one a few months ago and quality is ok.
Not used yet but its going to hold controller and wiring on my Dillenger kit when I get it swapped from a full sus bike to one with a triangle.
