    Downhill 2WD Conversion Project

I use the 961 and think the 965 is too big especially for offroading. Not sure but think the 963 only has 5 assist modes compared to 9 on the 961(could be wrong though). Obviously you will need a suitable charger or chargers,I use Imax B6 balance chargers until I am sure batteries are well...

Next problem is you will have to wait till they come back into stock and then buy them quick before they all get snapped up again.

A pair of 16Ah Multistars gets me between 30 and 50 miles depending on how much effort I put in. I weigh 17 stone and am not very fit. I live on the Teesdale Moors so its big hills in all directions. This might give you an idea.https://www.strava.com/activities/253941831 It was done with one...

Those brakes are OEM only which means not available to the general public(unless someone knows a way to source them). I suggest you search these forums along with the Endless Sphere forum http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=14 before deciding on the battery, there is an awful lot to...

Good point and I think you are correct from what I have read elsewhere. Will have to investigate further.

OOPs,I didnt see that,It looks like they must use a 36V maximum switch then. I just use a Wuxing horn switch to disconnect the motor . http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321468618988?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT Best chain for use with 6 to 8 gear rear is a Wipperman 7E8...

The brake sensors fit all BBs motors with the latest style plugs, you can also fit them to earlier models but would need to change the plug to suit. EDIT sensors are only 36 volt. My mistake!! Altering the frame by welding is a possibility as long as its done without compromising strength.

Who said it cant be done? Mine is on a 73mm BB. It certainly cant be fitted to the new Kona Stab as it has an 83mm BB.

    Downhill 2WD Conversion Project

Just checked that last photo and you may have a problem with clearance between the downtube and motor. You may have to angle it down quite a bit, compromising ground clearance. You would also have to get rid of that lump of aluminium behind the chainring...

Ah,so its an old model then? I would just get it measured before ordering anything. There is also a Uk solution for hydraulic brakes http://www.eclipsebikes.com/bafang-bbs01-bbs02-hydraulic-brake-sensors-p-1109.html

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

On Strava you can set a privacy area so it wont show anything near your home publicly. This was my ride today, not offroad but it was to the Dales MTB & offroad centre. Had a ride over to suss it out prior to getting my new car next month as I can get a bike rack then and start doing the local...

Cyclamatic Power Plus with 36v battery and controller

I would think the 24V controller would probably work ok on 36V. Perhaps the Op could open his old one and check the caps voltage?

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Had a great 25.6 mile ride over the old Coldberry lead mines today as the sun was blazing and for the second time my gopro failed to record. I have since found a problem with a bit of grit stuck under the record button on the waterproof case. It was a shame as the lower valleys were full of low...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Had a little ride through the forest today and a few road miles as well. IGNORE THE TIMESTAMP will set it tomorrow. I think 62.4Mph might be a BBS02 record! These NineLines knobblies are smooth rolling and not too noisy either. Just rode the fire trails today as I wanted to leave enough...

    Basic bike work stand suitability?

I have the Oypla stand and it holds my Cannondale with BBS02 and a pair of 16Ah Multistars and is rock steady even at full throttle. Only thing is you need a square metre of floor space to get the legs fully out.

    bafang crank drive kits

I need my throttle when riding in ruts too deep to pedal in. Also handy when 2 wheel drifting in deep snow. Other than that I pedal all the time on my BBS02 BUT I do tend to use the throttle a lot on my Dillenger hub kit.
