    I've resigned.

I love my BBS02 750W. It looks exactly like the 250W model so not a problem with plod. It can be geared to any speed you like and if you keep it to 20MPH MAX on a 7 speed bike it will climb mountains. I can get 50 miles out of a 16Ah battery. Fast ,I find is not enjoyable on a pushbike because...

    I've resigned.

I have disabled twin boys(Angelmans syndrome) so retired when the wife could no longer manage them on her own. Luckily we live on a farm(no land but lots of buildings) so I have plenty of room to indulge in various hobbies and tend to fund most things via ebay. You should not need many batteries...

    I've resigned.

Perhaps we could follow National Cycle Route 1 and meet up half way? Apparently it will only take us 9 hours and 25 minutes! Lol

    I've resigned.

You enjoy it, I retired 14 years ago and have never regretted a moment of it. People say "dont you get bored" but to be honest I never have enough time in the day to do what I want. I do find that I have slowed down a bit now as I had a building firm before I retired that kept me fit but now ,at...

    Trip simulator

I have been using this for the last 2 months and find its pretty accurate except my actual battery usage is slightly less than predicted but thats probably because I am guessing the settings for drag etc. I cant wait for better weather when I can compare it to actual 70+ mile rides.

    Seeking clarity on the law

This has been suggested a few times Dave and I will get round to it eventually but at the moment I can only work with what I have as I am a full time carer for my 2 disabled sons so money is tight. I will eventually get the Dillenger sold(when I have finished playing with it) and may buy one...

If the first thing I read upon finding this site was the replies to your posting(obviously not connected to your excellent first post) then I would never of returned. Thank god people seem to have grown up since then.

Should have pointed out that the current battery will be up for sale shortly and the hub will be run on LiPo,lots of LiPo...This hub motor isnt going to be used up big hills but mainly for trips to various pubs around the dale where a BBS is not suitable as I may be too drunk to change gear...

    Seeking clarity on the law

I have friends with e-bikes in New York State so lnow exactly what a ridiculous situation they are in. Some police clamp down hard on them and others dont bat an eyelid but until you get stopped you dont know which way its going to go. Perhaps we should have a horsepower limit over here...

    Seeking clarity on the law

Yes,I should have said torque, not power. I find the BBS02 does everything I need round here luckily. I have a spare controller for the Dillenger so am going to open it up and see about modding the shunt on it for more grunt. I can check the caps and mosfets while in there to see how much voltage...

They should copy the Yanks and set the limit at 750 Watts. My 250 Watt Cyclamatic Power Plus (I think the plus means plus we just lied about the power) wont pull me up any of the hills around here even with me pedalling as hard as I can! Mind you my Kilowatt Dillenger wont pull me up the...

    KTM Corner

I do the same Eddie and a couple of times the gps has not connected or dropped its connection after I have put the phone in my pocket. I did my longest run of 42.3 miles one day only to find that it only recorded the first 3 miles!!. It did once record a big blob in town and when I zoomed right...

With mud that deep I would just give up. There is a high probability you would end up breaking something. I would consider doing a few road trips till things dry up a bit.
