Thanks for that. I set this up thinking that it would be interesting to see where and how, other folk are riding their bikes and how various setups cope with different terrain. I aint been on for 2 weeks as we have had almost constant 60 Mph winds! Cant do any riding till at least Jan 5th now as...

CycleCharge: Anyone need e-bike motor, kit or battery?

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia A nonprofit organization (NPO) is an organization that uses surplus revenues to achieve its goals rather than distributing them as profit or dividends.[1][2] Although nonprofit organizations are permitted to generate surplus revenues, they must be retained...

    Suspension Seatpost

With a difference that small I would run a dremel down the seatpost groove and tighten the bolt up a bit more as its less than half a millimetre difference.

Trying to find an 8 speed chain for a crank drive motor.

Wipperman 7E8 chain is a good strong chain.I have one on my BBS02 that runs up to 1200Watts and is used on forest trails and its well up to the job. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300960739859?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

    Need Stand

Oypla stand came today and is excellent, really heavy duty and the adjusting knobs in the pics have been replaced with quick release clamps which work well. Next job is to clean my stable out so I have room to actually use it!

The hub bike accelerates faster than the BBS but it tends to get less pedalling assistance as I run out of legpower well before it hits full speed. With the BBS it seems to encourage you to pedal more. We have lots of big hills round here and the BBS leaves the hub struggling then.

No reason,I just like something different for a change. I use the BBS for all my long distance rides.

    Are Cheap Bikes OK.

No I want 2 different bikes/motors for different uses. The BBS for trails and the Xiongda for tarmac riding. I will be using the same batteries for both rather than having a set standing for any length of time.

Put some cable ties round your tyres/rims. Makes any bike into a snow bike https://www.eta.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/imported/images/cable%20ties.jpg

    Are Cheap Bikes OK.

I have the same Trax bike with a 1000 Watt Dillenger front wheel kit on and its done over 500 miles so far and its only had a gel seat cover and a pair of Clark Exo Skeletal brakes put on since new. The bike was free (paid for by the government) as I am a full time carer and the brakes cost...

    Dangerous cycling conviction

Our next door neighbour is the guy that started the Farmwatch scheme off (got his MBE the other week) and so we get police at his house most days so this helps with security as well.

It might fold if you hit a big enough bump  Love the drop handlebars for streamlined riding but not sure they are compatible with those rear seats though...
