    Changing Rim Size

Excellent, I did not think of that. The reason I am asking is if my 20 year old, 26 inch MTB craps out one day, I could upgrade to a more modern 27.5 inch, being as the bike industry have now abandoned the 26 inch format.

    Julet Connectors

Or practicing rear wheel removal at home in anticipation of the dreaded rear wheel puncture on the roadside. However, I have discovered those Gaadi inner tubes where wheel removal is not necessary in the event of tube replacement.

    Changing Rim Size

So what would be the effect of taking a rear, geared hub motor from a 26" rim and having it laced into a 27.5" rim?

    Julet Connectors

I asked this question when I first got my kit. It appears there is no such tool. I was very wary of wiggling the very tight connectors while trying to separate them. The pins look delicate to me and I didn't want to break anything on day one after spending a fair chunk of money on the kit. In...

    Should I buy it?

£1000 you say? I think this bargepole is about ten feet.

Having very recently installed an XF08C rear wheel hub kit from Woosh, I may be able to answer a couple of your questions. First of all I weigh 15kg more than you. I have no trouble at all getting up hills with his kit. I replaced my triple front chainrings with a single 38 tooth chainring and...

Pre-Purchase advice. (Help me making a major mistake) - About to buy it!!!

26" wheeled mountain bikes are totally out of fashion now and nobody wants them. On Gumtree you can pay between £50 for a rust bucket or £150 for really nice one. You sound like you are handy with tools, think about a kit. My one tip would be to buy a Crank extractor tool from Park Tool...

    Conversion Help

Older mountain bikes with square taper bottom brackets and 26" wheels are fairly easy to convert to rear wheel motor and plenty of used ones on the market. A 250w geared rear hub motor is not at all illegal. Short stem with flat bars is an easy job. Brown leather seat, grips etc. another easy...

    Hello and guidance needed

I can't speak for the DWG22, I bought the XF08. The XF08 gets me up hills easily, it's like I'm now living in the Netherlands where everything is flat! And I weigh more than two stone than you. Anyway, good luck with whatever you choose and I'm sure Woosh will give you the right advice.

    Hello and guidance needed

I don't know if these pictures are of any help, but these are my frame measurements with the battery in place. I think the frame is 19" or 'medium'.

    Hello and guidance needed

I'm sure you know 7 speed will probably be a freewheel. During my email conversation with Woosh, prior to purchase, they told me to cut a piece of cardboard 38cm x 10cm and see if that fits in the frame triangle I notice your bike has cantilever brakes, these can be converted fairly cheaply...

    Hello and guidance needed

You know, if your bike is that old and worn you may as well just go ahead and get a Camino or Grand Camino. I bought an old bike and spent a fair bit improving it (which I really didn't need to do, but that's me) Adding it all altogether what with new tools etc. I probably spent close to what it...

    Hello and guidance needed

I have recently converted an older aluminium framed mountain bike. It has an 8 speed cassette at the rear and a single chain ring up front. I only really use the top four gears. I got a Woosh rear drive kit. I ordered pedal assist only, so no throttle or brake sensors. I mostly use levels 3...

    How I Decluttered My Handlebars

Well as this thread is now basically about bells LOL I have ordered one of these bells from eBay for less than four quid. It should take up less room on the end of my handlebars and look pretty stealthy in black.

    How I Decluttered My Handlebars

OK, well I definitely have one of those simple bells found on kids bikes etc somewhere. But I can't find it, however I did find this old bell in my shed and it has a proper old-school ring. As you can see I have fitted it to the left end of my handlebar, so I can work it with my little finger...

    Cheap e-bike? £600?

OK, well good luck. Don't forget though you will need a 48v kit (I think).

    Cheap e-bike? £600?

OK, so you've bought a 48v battery and cradle with no controller? Not being funny but what is it you intend to do with that?
