    Ebike life

Hafords for sure is reported to suggest its time for a new bike as soon as a warranty period expires on an ebike with an issue, or even just in need of a new battery.. And it seems to me the more you spend on an e-bike, the less likely it will have a longer than warranty life, but im looking in...

The Roaming Radrunner - Vlog 17 Towpath Travelogue Part 3

So start a single thread and post the above explanation or similar as an intro and add links to your vids as you release them , not the vids themselves with no explanation. Posting vids without any explanation of why they might be of interest so folk watch them and think 'WTF!' is not gonna...

    Hills

Should do with some pedal input from yourself as long as the gearing allows you to start.. I ride a conversion 250w rear hub drive bike, (see icon).. While my motor alone would not pull me up the steepest of hills round here I can ride up comfortably in a low gear providing some input without...

New to e-bikes, considering Brompton conversion.

I understand the reluctance to loose the convenience of the dynamo fed lighting, but do you expect to ride the bike without electric assistance after conversion? if not since your carrying a battery anyway and the current lighting fed by the dynamo is not going to be a high drain, so your not...

Sine wave vs square wave vs dual mode

Hi, That ad is a bit 'fishy', Very good price for a 20a controller +lcd3, however Dual VOLTAGE controllers are very common, dual mode controllers ie sq-wave Or sine wave?? which is what i think that ad alludes to? I too would be asking questions.. - You could take a punt and if its a 'scam'...

Chances of marrying a Swytch front wheel with a Yose (Lishui) controller.

Considering that you probably ride as fast as the conditions allow knowing the speed isnt much help or use And having the display showing an error could be a benefit in deterring would be opportunist thieves in some odd rare circumstances.. ;) tho looking down at an error would bug me tbh. you...

    problem with display panel

Check the connecting plugs/sockets are all pushed home firmly, which im sure you have done.. Check the manual for first time running instructions, many halfords bikes employ direct communication with the battery and controller, this may require a full charge of the battery, for...

    Folding bikes

A Good ridding folding ebike that can be folded/unfolded stashed/ridden quickly and is a manageable mass when folded, is an ideal solution to joined up public transport exploitation. But is not a bargain basement option, so out of my range ;)

Newbie dipping his toe into the world of Ebikes

I can understand the concern considering the press coverage, Based on the photos that sometimes appear with the articles in the press, and the details reported many of the e-bike fires occur due to bad battery maintenance, improper charging and unattended charging often left overnight. And ...

rear spokes on an e bike

For £170 i would certainly have a go myself even if well outside my comfort zone.. When replacing spokes 1 at a time the worst calamity would be loosing a spoke nut in the wheel recess and that just takes a bit of shaking to resolve (as long as you keep track of the nut as it escapes..) but...

"Police stat shows that 260 electric powered bicycles were seized by officers last year"

It depends on which interested party is footing the huge lobbying bill and how deep their pockets are Shirley. Someone mentioned Amazon's new ebike cargo fleet recently

Home Ruination by Ebike Battery Fire Expulserating PreTerminator™®©℠

Since your using the 'cooling' relay be mindful of the compressor delay built into the logic of the stc1000 and that once triggered on/off a subsiquent switching within a defined period will be blocked. Probably not relevant to final use as once switched and the battery has been lobbed out the...
