    Fab 110km ride today - Carmarthenshire/Swansea

I suggested to Camelbak several years ago that they should make the above, but they didn't take the suggestion seriously. How foolish of them.

What was the elevation gain for the ride?

    Second Battery ordered.....

It's all pretty meaningless. Take these two rides as example, both used one battery, but the stats are very different. This a typical 'for me' UK ride using two batteries.

    Weasel

This is the most unusual creature that I have found when out on one of my more remote rides. :D I actually went back a few nights later and shared a very odd tasting cup of coffee with him.

    Weasel

Just found a photo of a trout as mentioned above, during one of my night rides. This was taken last year in the 500 acre wood on Ashdown Forest. Almost each colour combination. Taken during another ride on Ashdown Forest, but sadly a bit far away for a clear shot.

    Weasel

Most of my riding is carried out at night time, and badgers along with deer, are my biggest hazards. Probably not funny for the badger or my friend, but one of the funniest incidents that I have witnessed, was seeing a badger get caught up under the front chain wheel of my regular riding...

    £2500 for a mtb

Dean, Rather than add a pointless sarcastic reply such as that of Dave, I would prefer to be more constructive in my reply, although a bit jumbled up and short, as I'm sadly pushed for time. The 2.5k bracket can be quite a tricky one, that falls in a kind of no mans land in respect of spec...

    Glazed brakes?

To add to Nealh's post which makes a lot of sense, it is very likely that the pads would have glazed over because of road contaminates, particularly at this time of year. Cycle brake pads can be deglazed and cleaned, but in reality it is just a waste of time, and will only be a short term...

Pagan Electric bike, 60mph fully road legal

Perhaps I am being cynical, but I have always interpreted the 20k servicing pitch as a marketing ploy to attract fleet buyers. Low service costs, combined with regular part exchanging at the end of or before warranty expiry, must be quite attractive.

Tubeless repairs miles down the trail

I haven't looked into that, but I'm happy enough with Effetto CaffeLatex. I do have a pain in the backside hole that I have just put in a brand new Nobby Nic though. Flint and riding on the South Downs isn't a great combination. :( .

Tubeless repairs miles down the trail

Effetto all the way for me, which I have been using for about the last four years. I did try Orange Seal briefly after being asked to try it, but quickly switched back to Effetto. I gave up with Stans a very long time ago, as it just balled up into a rubberized mess after a very short period...

I haven't looked at the above clip, or looked at the YT channel to check, but you could getting confused with Slartibartfast. No idea what this topic has to do with emtb's though.

Park Tool dag-2.2 derailleur hanger alignment gauge.

A short review of the Park Pool dag-2.2 derailleur hanger alignment gauge. I have owned this tool for a good year or so now, and whilst it could be considered very expensive at the purchase cost of about £55.00, I was lucky enough to share the cost with a friend. This has quickly become one...
