I haven't tried large tyre... but my last crash brought me to hospital with some stich on my forehead. It happening on evening, where the road is less visible. At 25mph it's really hard to plan... I have now full suspension with marathon plus. And yes the difference is clear. Longer journey...

it goes up to 30mph.. but lack stability at that speed. Torque is much better than on my 26" wheel that's why I'm considering changing my bigger bike to 20" wheel? 24" may not make much difference. Why is it lacking stability? I don't understand

Finally how it looks now: It doesn't ride too bad, however it isn't as stable as my 26" mountain bike at 25mph... Hopefully the way I created my battery pack allow me to swap it between bikes :) I wonder if it's normal? Ideally I'd like to only get a folding bike. It's more compact...

Crank arm hitting the rear stay

I have fear of bike shop. I can't remember of a single time where a bike shop didn't waste my time... and sometime my time and money. I only go there to buy urgent parts in case of puncture, nothing else. Last time I went for advice, it was for installation of a rear rack on a disc bike. The...

Looking for a folding ebike to do 26 miles per day.

For me, the problems are multiple folds and not inherent to small wheel: - Road are damaged where I live.. and sometime severely damaged. So suspension is a must.. And small folding bike very often do not have suspension. - It makes the ride much less comfortable and sometime makes it prone to...

Looking for a folding ebike to do 26 miles per day.

Are you talking about this one? http://www.e-bikesdirect.co.uk/Item/Brands/Oxygen_Electric_Bikes/Oxygen_Emate_MTB_13AH.aspx It doesn't look bad. Just consider if you want to cruise at 15mph or not. And probably get a trial before purchase. In my case 15mph cruising for more than 10 miles is...

Which motor/kit to get? Bafang CST or Xiongda? 36V or 48V?

Also, if you want my kit, make sure the hills are not too high because the motor is overvolted for high speed. It can't sustain low speed and strong hill climbing. If hills are not too high and you pedal to help, it should be able to do that without issue

Looking for a folding ebike to do 26 miles per day.

I have similar requirement to yours. I live in a very small place and can't afford to leave my bike inside, and I also commute 25 miles a day for work. And 1 thing I can guarantee you.. doing 25 miles a day, every day is tiring and long. At first it was exhausting me, now I feel better. I...

Crank arm hitting the rear stay

It's closer to 1cm than 1 mm... my main concern is that I'm not sure if the problem is with the crank arm, or if it's with the bottom bracket. If I change the arm and I have the same issue it means the bottom bracket needs changing... But trying to bent it back may cost me nothing and just...

The thread to fit the pedal was worn. So pedal was getting loose as I was cycling and nothing I can do to tighten it up as thread was gone. No other choice than buying a new one :( As said, I think it may have been bent from my fall because it was working before, although I didn't tighten it...
