    Another accident in the news

Thanks @flecc - I couldn't picture 2 people on that style of scooter so thought it must have been a moped-shaped one. I guessed wrong again. 2 up on one of those on out potholed roads with traffic has to be a recipe for disaster, a shame as they sound a great idea for portable transport around...

    Another accident in the news

The report describes it a an E-scooter with 2 people on it, I suspect it means E-moped not kids scooter type but it's unclear. Serious head injuries, so no helmets...

Cheapest source for kt controller and display

@Nealh there is a way but it took me a while to find it and I had to change 2 settings together, My throttle now matches my power level, not 100% all the time. @Darthpaul My own notes are poor but might help: C4 = 4 throttle / walk assist ? (set to P4=0, C4=4 for throttle max to match power level)

How should I upgrade a bike with a coaster brake?

Good advice above from @vfr400 and @flecc - buying a different bike will be the easiest (and maybe even the cheapest) solution.

How should I upgrade a bike with a coaster brake?

Hi, nice bike, I have something similar and it's very practical. Adding a disk brake at the front isn't too difficult but you would have to use a front wheel motor as this has the fittings to mount a disc brake, expect to spend at least £75 on the extra parts. Don't order anything yet ( more...

Still no response to my emails from BMS

Glad you got things sorted. If anyone else opens a Paypal dispute and is asked to close it before the seller will refund you, suggest you look at what can happen (different company - same problem) https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/pswpower-do-not-use-them.41249/

this is really a big problem. The electric motor touches the brake. Please advise.

Hi, I think my Yose 350w kit is the same as yours, mine has a 160mm disk + axle spacer fitted and clearance is fine. Hope the photo exlains. For testing, you could remove the rear calliper before a gentle ride up your street to check the motor is working - obviously not to use further than needed.

this is really a big problem. The electric motor touches the brake. Please advise.

Hi, I think you have 2 choices... Like @flecc says, I use the thinnest washer I can that will give me clearance. Best to loosen your brake caliper bolts before fitting the wheel as adding a washer will move the disk sideways - I always end up having to adjust the brakes after I've converted a...

PSWPOWER - DO NOT USE THEM

Wow ! Not a company I've ever bought from but I came close a few times. Will be interesting to see if anyone else has an comments about them.

Lightweight kit from MTB (9 year old)

Hi, I bought a 36 volt / 350W kit last year from company Yose - they shipped from their EU (Germany?) warehouse. Not sure if they supply any kits with simple displays, mine came with a basic LCD display and has been very good for me. Website https://yosepower.com/ Looking at their site now it...

Britain's First 'Dutch-Style' Roundabout Closed 10 Days After Opening When Car Ploughed Into Beacon

Northumberland have got £2.3M funding for cycle route upgrades including (maybe) a Dutch style roundabout https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/north-easts-first-dutch-style-20704777 As someone who has spent many years cycling in that area this sounds like a huge waste of money...

Ebike charging using Street EV chargers for electric cars

Putting this here rather than start a new thread, a neat idea if you rent a "bike & battery" package, I'd not want to swap my new & well looked after battery for one with an unknown history. Hot-swappabe battery exchange base station ?

Yose Power kits in the UK

Hi. I bought from Yose last year (German warehouse?), not sure if you know but after Brexit they created a UK-only Yose. I'm guessing you have been speaking to the UK store not the EU one? https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/ysbatteryuk Just a thought, sending from UK to EU is a nightmare as you are...

Best companies to order kit from in the UK?

@Moecycle - good to know it got to you ok, the rules seem to be sending goods from EU into UK *should* be checked but it has been said that would cause food shortages & chaos (so UK gov't have decided not to implement any additional checks after Brexit). The delays and customs delays are when...

Best companies to order kit from in the UK?

As said above, shipping from UK to EU is now a nightmare so I'd avoid buying in the UK unless you aready live there. A parcel is on it's way to me from UK, it has been stuck at a sorting office near Paris for several days and I'm getting concerned. It may just be slow due to volume of shipments...

    It arrived

Poorly worded on my part but it sounds like you've already worked out - you just need to square the drop out enough to match the profile of the axle, making it fully square would introduce a stress riser / weak point.

HELP. My ebike motor is not spinning

Check all wiring connections are pushed fully home - I did something on my bike and the motor stopped working, I thought it I'd damaged something but it was just one of the connectors had worked loose when i was working on the bike. Easy to fix once I'd found the problem :)

    It arrived

Hi, I've had to "square off" the bottom of the slots on a couple of rear dropouts, not had to widen any (or fitted a Bangfang, or worked with titanium). Maybe wait for advice from one of the more experienced folk on here before deciding the best way forward. Hope it works out the way you want...

    Solo elderly tourer

HI and welcome. If you like the bike you have, it;s not too difficult to convert it to electric using a kit. To monitor heart rate I use a Huawei "Band3 Pro" fitness braclet but there are plenty of others. Some background https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/fitness-trackers.31349/ Have...
