    Crank Drive Motor Clunking Noise

I can't answer for other systems, but with the Bosch Performance Line and CX motor system, any clonking noise comes from gear changes. Another aspect of clonking and related noise when looking at film clips, is where the camera has been mounted. It can make a massive difference, to what is or...

    Gearing and motor

Sorry to go off topic, but...... The clip that I most hate on Youtube. It makes me cringe every time that someone posts it up on here. Poor workshop practice in laying tools and components on the ground, uncertainty of what he doing at various stages and tools that would be better suited to...

    haibike tyre

Racing Ralphs is a tricky one. They come on many bikes as an OE tyre, which I guess is down to the weight saving factor, and they are a very good tyre that also offers a very low rolling resistance, but the down side of them being that they do puncture very easily. I run a Racing Ralph on the...

Recommend me a new front light

I borrowed a mates Superdrive 600 a few weeks ago to ride home on the road. All that I can say is that it is worth every penny. :) .

Sitting here having a bored few minutes, and prompted by Warwick's proposed Boxing day ride, I thought that I would look at the ride stats for last December. I'd forgotten just how muddy and horrid that it was, and how rank that the Xmas Day ride was. The conditions were bad enough that I was...

A Jonsered was the first chainsaw that I ever bought. Kind of a poor mans Husqvarna, but still a fantastic saw, that was ahead of it's time. Scary to think that was some 33 years ago now.

Do you ever see any people out on bikes, or is as remote as it appears? Also did the bridge once form part of a light railway network?

Karen, I realise that you have said that the sensor position is okay, but just for clarification of what Emo Rider has said, here is a diagram. .

edit... Crossed with the reply by LP. :) In respect of the bikes speed and the feeling of it cutting in and out, the motor is set to only assist to the UK legal cut off speed of 15.5mph http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/electric-bike-guides/uk-electric-bike-law/ By changing this which someone is bound...

Just pick the one day of the year when UK roads don't look like this.

    Dealing with water and cables

From what I have seen, integrated battery packs appear to be narrower and longer, which makes the prospect of carrying a spare, not so practical or appealing.

    SPECIALIZED MISSON CONTROL APP

Why didn't the dealer help you with setting up the app, or at least explain to you how to do it?

I don't know about a thousand words, but the best part of a thousand expletives are exchanged when we try stunts like that. :D Actually the last time that it happened I was on my own, and truth be known it did worry me up a bit. I got to the stage of not knowing whether to keep going...

First weekend of December three years ago. Lost in a bog with my regular ride partner. First weekend of December two years ago. First weekend of December last year. It certainly seems drier this year.

What an amazing starlight cold and frosty night for a ride. Perfect. :) Cock up number one of the evening. I turned the display off to take the photo, then forgot to turn the bike back on, before heading of down along the stream bed for a ride. It demands the best of concentration when...

I had to stay at home this afternoon, so figured that I might just as well give one of the CX motors a little pre winter care and attention. Remove the 'modified' outer bearing seal, without using any chemical based detergents, thoroughly clean all faces, apply a little marine grade grease to...

Another very nice build, and even better that it is a hard tail. The Timber Wolf is a lovely bit of kit, and you must have done well to find one. :) Just out of interest, is the chain long enough? That is an interesting one ref the 29er. I've found my self increasingly studying the set up of...

    ebike snobbery

Such as Cycle Revival in Heathfield, who you will of course be familiar with. :) Matt is quite happy to sell both off the shelf EAPC's or convert existing pedal cycles. http://www.cyclerevival.co.uk/bikes/electric/ I personally think that it is a refreshing and open minded attitude. If one...
