Steel cable tie from my torque arm has been teared in 2. Not enough to handle 2500W BPM. I need to get another one... maybe 2 other steel tie? Ideally I should bolt it but I don't have equipment with me (no drills or drill bits)

Anyone used a DC to DC converter to run lights from battery?

I've been using this converter on number of led (including magicshine) and never had any issue: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DC-24V-36V-48V-60V-64V-72V-To-12V-10A-Converter-For-Electric-Storage-Battery-/400589244381?pt=UK_Home_Garden_PowerTools_SM&hash=item5d44fac7dd

    Dahon Jetstream conversion

I think I found the solution: With U=RI, the cell voltage is about 4V and I need to discharge to about 15-20W or 5-6A. So 4V/6A = 0.66R So I need a 0.66ohm resistor...

Which motors for which wheel sizes?

Get a Mezzo bike. The rear dropout is large enough to put a big motor such as a BPM. It doesn't fold as small, but it's not bad. It also folds in half very quickly. With a big motor on the front, and potentially another battery, it will wear the bike quickly when you fold unfold it on the hinges.

Run way to handle that power? You mean autonomy? I'm now bringing my bike to london. I'm so excited. The dahon jetstream rolls well when folded, I'm quite happy about it. Fingers crossed I won't have any reliability issue in london as I don't have my tool box now in london!

The bike all included should weight around 25kg (4kg motor +10kg battery+11kg bike + some bits) Handling is quite good because mass is all located on the bike frame. It handles better than my brompton. Ride are quite pleasant. Previously the battery was on my backpack and it gave me some pain...
