    Wheel size 26 Inch o.l.d

Need a new rear wheel I decided after the new axel I bought never fitted correctly on my 26inch wheel MTB. 6 speed freewheel with 135 o l d (135mm distance across axel) Most adverts don't mention o.l.d size so I guess you assume it's 135mm? Is it worth getting a double rim wheel? Any...

    V-Brakes grabbing question

My 10+ year old V-brakes are grabbing on both the front and back wheels giving uneven braking? Worth replacing levers and blocks or other problem? Front wheel is a new 250w hub . Current breaks are unbranded and low quality I guess, based on everything else ok on bike. For £15 I could replace...

    Front 3 sprocket crankset change

Is it possible to put larger 3 sprocket crankset on as an old mountain bike? Top gear is not high enough for me. Have a 6 speed rear freewheel and 3 speed front. Thanks

    Riding ebike in the rain

Anyone bother with any ebike protection from rain? I was thinking of cling film around throttle and display as I think I'm going to get wet this week.

    Tyres which ones?

I have a MTB ebike. I'm running 26- 1.35 road tyres at 80psi with no suspension and its a hard ride! Road and cycle path mostly which in places is rough. I need a softer tide and will probably go for thicker Schwalbe tyres to cushion ride a bit. 26-2.0 tyre ok? What would be a good option? Not...

Front light using power for rear lights?

I have a yose power kit that comes with a wired front light. Is it possible to use that to power a rear light? Was thinking of a two into one adapter? Guess most use a battery rear light.

    Bike Wheel replacement

I thinking of replacing my rear 26 Inc wheel as it's a bit out of shape. The freewheel has a slight wobble when it's stationary but wheel is spinning. Rim not true either. Wheels look cheap enough at around £20 to buy a new ok one, but any good at this price? Reading online any size freewheel...

    Derailleur setting up

Hi all. I've fitted 2 new shifters for 3 cog front and 6 speed rear freewheel. I've also fitted a new derailleur. Setting up is impossible although I'm having another go today. Watched loads of YouTube videos but none show what I need to look at. Turn a few screws and its all smooth changing...

    Dual hub e-bikes

Can't find any information here on having two hub motors? I read they are popular but not much information online. 250w both front and back. Maybe even two 350w. Did find a guy on YouTube with dual 350w over volted and looked brilliant running off one battery. Anyone built one? Guess you could...

    Front hub motor cable position.

Regarding cable entry on front hub motor. On installation videos, some fit pointing down while others pointing up. Which is correct? I think down so rain don't run down the cable into the motor. Create a drip loop like in outside electrics I guess it's called.

    Helmet for bikes

What's the thoughts on full faced helmet on an ebike? I've got an old bowl polystyrene effort I use but thinking of updating. No idea what to buy, or where to get one from. Guess a bike shop. Do you need a box to lock it in like I have done with my motorcycle helmet in year past, or carry around...

    Current yose kit build

Hi all. Just posting for interest as new here. This is my current ebike build. Waiting for new second hand set of forks as the ones fitted don't line up well. Tried to grind the forks but decided to buy a ridged set that will work properly. Got lucky with those on eBay. This is my first build as...

    Throttle hidden switch

I'm putting on the thumb throttle while I've got handlebars apart. I've bought a reed switch which I'll add somewhere to activate or deactivate throttle to keep within the law. The traffic cops will be watching me most days as I ride past so figure I'll try stay within the law. I figure a reed...

    Fork trouble and tyres

Hello everyone. Just thought I get a post up here. I'm currently converting an old zoom MTB with front motor hub but got stuck on forks. I've learnt that suspension forks are not ideal and think I've found a ridged set coming off eBay which look on paper to fit. 25.4mm thread with 175 steerer...

    Hello

Hi everyone. Just started my first ebike build and having plenty of problems. Got a old steel mountain bike that's not well made I'm working on. Decided to join here to find information. Not sure I can bring much to the party at the moment, and I'm currently fitting what I think was the last...
