Jerry, the speed on the GPS is not as accurate as the speed from the magnet. And some mobile may not have GPS, so in that case they can still have the speed.

I have the impression that Speedict is better than Cycle analyst because it adds a map, allow you to view the data on the laptop, reduce the number of cables and clean the handlebar with 1 phone doing all. What are the strenght of the cycle analyst except that it doesn't require a phone to do that?

You should be able to get it working on any phone with android system. Even the cheapest crap phone that has android should be able to make it. But it's better to have only 1 phone and getting the Samsung makes sense. You can just get a second hand samsung S2 if you don't want to spend too...

I asked a seller on ebay, and it seems that the rear dropout of the mezzo is 132 mm. It should fit the bafang isn't it?
