    Folding bead or wire bead?

I have no idea, but a quick Google search reveals that the subject seems to create a fair bit of arguing on various cycle related forums.

    Odd Bosch battery glitch

Thanks for the replies. It's certainly an odd an annoying glitch. I'll try the reset approach a little later.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Sadly I couldn't really say without seeing it. I suspect that it might not be covered by warranty as you hope that it might be. :( It's probably considered a wear part, and being an off road bike and subject to extremes of riding conditions and cleaning techniques, I doubt it'll be covered.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Just a very short clip from this evening, showing the SJ400 at night time with just a 1 cree light. The rear light of the lad in front has distracted from it. Normally we wouldn't have the rear lights on as they are too bright for the following rider, but tonight we were both too lazy to turn...

    Maintenance/cleaning

I can accept the solvent comment Rob, although grit is going to do far more damage, and any factory lubricant is going to be long gone after just the first wet muddy ride. TT was talking about the use of chain baths as whole, which are a superb cleaning device, and one that no one who rides off...

    Cleaning / Detailing

Just spotted a couple of things that I missed out. When cleaning the suspension components I always use a small amount of fork juice. This also lead to me making another discovery for it's use. Fork Juice clearly uses some element of silicon within it's properties, but it goes way beyond that...

    Maintenance/cleaning

So it's okay to use muc Off on the chain, but it's not okay to use a chain bath. You have me confused about the difference, especially if Muc Off is used within the chain bath. Dry lube is also only any good for dry riding conditions, not wet riding conditions where the bike will become muddy...

New 2016 Schwalbe Marathon Plus MTB looks good

Funny that you should ask that, I have just transferred some money for these.http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/how-many-people-are-using-there-e-bike-off-road.15780/page-47#post-275609 Then scroll down two posts. :) Don't be influenced by my choice. Everything is a compromise, and I do...

New 2016 Schwalbe Marathon Plus MTB looks good

They will probably make a good bridleway tyre for autumn use, after the hedges have been cut. So could be a winner in that respect, and could prove to be a very wise purchase. Lets hope so. :) It doesn't say if they are tubeless compatible though, and I suspect that as they have indicated that...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Not my movie clip, it was just an example of an event that had three forum members riding it.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Very stupid, you are absolutely right. Canal towpaths and roads are far better. Within the first minute of this clip, I can spot one forum member, and I bet that a couple more aren't so far away. Roll on this years event.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

The Hutchinsons stood out in several reviews that I read last year, as a tyre that would suit all of needs and more, but there was then zero availability, so I opted for the WTB Vigilante tyres instead. The grip has been outstanding on them and they have actually been very durable. The downside...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

The Swiss trip took it's toll on my tyres, and now that things have started to get muddy, I've been struggling for traction, and so decided that it was time for some new tyres. I've been dreading this as I wanted a particular tyre, Hutchinson DZO and tried without luck to get a set last winter...

    Changes in S pedelecs laws

Being blunt, I'm pretty fecked off with the daily mention that dongles get scattered throughout seemingly every thread on here (Soundwave) I'm fecked off, because dongles are hitting a nail firmly into the coffin of my hobby. You might not realise this Soundwave, but amongst others you are...

    Haibike Stockist

Damion Harris stocks Haibike, and is probably a couple of hours away from you. You could also then look at the KTM range of bikes. They aren't held together with cable ties. ;) http://www.damianharriscycles.co.uk/styles/Electric-Bikes .

    Haibike discount

I couldn't agree more. :) I let alot of people ride my bikes, and quite frequently I'll be pedalling along side cringing as I hear gear changes, and or poor riding practice. I just take it for granted that you select the correct gear before approaching a hill, and down shift when approaching...

Ebikes to hire in South East? (Bosch or Yamaha)

Sorry that I can't help you at such short notice, but if you fancy a late afternoon, evening or weekend ride, starting out from Crowborough, you are more than welcome to pop across and try either of the KTM's that I have here. I'll come along from the ride. :) My Macina Lycan GPS+ e-mtb does...
