    One for Martin@ebike shop

You missed this one Martin. One for your FB page. I quite fancy the idea of taking part in this. Mixed terrain, plenty of aggression, determination and energy. Shame that my body probably handle it though. :( It's good to dream. :)

    Larger capacity Bosch battery

Perhaps I was mistaken, but I thought that I spotted a thread/passage earlier in which someone was asking about larger capacity Bosch batteries. Just by chance, I have come across this, which may or may not be of help.. http://speedup.altervista.org/recelling-battery-bosch-classic.html .

    KTM Corner

If that is the case, then it will probably spell the end of my being able to enter organised public mtb events. I can see the organisers banning e-mtbs altogether because of the obvious risk to pedal mtb users etc. I can then also see legislation being brought in to stop the use of e-mtb's on...

    Range of new Yamaha Motors

I had an interesting conversation a few days ago with a lad who had been thinking about buying a Haibike with the Yamaha motor fitted. He said that he had decided against the idea when he spotted that only the low end Haibikes were fitted with the motor, and questioned why if the motors were so...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Will, before you buy a mudguard, I could always copy the shape of one of mine onto a piece of paper and then pop in the post for you to try before you buy. Just drop me a pm with your address details if you fancy that idea. Subject to having the bike in time, I'd be doing the longer route. I've...

    KTM Corner

I can't either, but I suspect that they will do well in the US coastal market. I saw my first one being ridden at an mtb event this summer, and just thought wtf! The rider was wearing trainers, cut off jeans and no shirt, so I don't know if that helps explain things a bit further. :D

    KTM Corner

I see that KTM have received a brief mention, in making it to the No2 slot in relation to the top 5 fat bikes. 2.12 mins in. The only e-bike to have made the list.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Brilliant write up WT. :) Your legs look cold. Sounds like your hard earned money has been well spent. I'm going to look forward to reading more of your adventures. :) I don't know how feasibly practicle that it would be to fit, but it could be worth investing in a Mucky Nutz, short mudguard...

    E-bikes and rain

Nice one William Tell. :) That first mud bath is always the best and the worst, Christening a new bike is never a nice experience, but without doing it, you never get to experience what the bikes were made for. Off road fun. :) It's the same with getting wet/muddy yourself. The first puddle and...

    Recommended chain oil/lubricant?

I would imagine that any branded wet lube sold at any cycle store would be fine for your use. In my opinion, Finish Line nudges forward on durability. Just a random link for the product...

    Gloves and Shoe Covers

Sealskinz socks are pretty good for normal road use and also do a good job of keeping your feet warm, but for my off road use they fail miserably. The water just runs down your legs, then inside of the socks, and can't escape. It feels horrible when this happens.

Easiest way find percentage of a hill?

I had someone try and pull me on a roof that I had cut and pitched a few days ago. I had cut and pitched it at 42.5 degree using my square, and then in front of the person questioning it, I offered to lay my smart phone on it to check. As soon as I said it, I thought oh s**t what have I just...
