    IS YOUR BATTERY RELIABLE ?

I haven't had the BH long enough to be able to say, but to date I'm satisfied with the performance from the Samsung (I think) 36V/9AH I also keep it indoors when not use. Part of this reason is security/theft related and part is that from experience with my cordless power tools at work, the...

    Wear and tear

Lets just say that it isn't as quiet as it first was. :) Don't know why I put the smile in. :(

    Disk locks

Handy hint with m/c disc locks. Put the key into the end of a short length of bright coloured silicon tube. You then have to remove the key from the tube to lock the bike, and at the same time place the tube over the end of the brake lever. You just reverse the process when you return to the...

    Wear and tear

Out of interest are crank drive motors better sealed against water ingress than hub drives? Thanks for the kind words Rob, and whilst I'm sure that component and bearing quality etc must make undoubtedly make a difference in relation to wear and tear, it's been commented on several occasions...

    Disk locks

You would think that it would be easy to suggest something, but I can't. :( The extra weight of my Abus chain and lock that I carry around, always frustrates me.

    Disk locks

Nice idea, and I had previously thought about it myself. I just came to the conclusion that if you are talking about motorcycle disc locks, it wouldn't help. All that the thief would need to do is just drop the wheel out or just undo the disc bolts, which probably wouldn't be much of hindrance...

    Need a more comfy seat

That reminds me of the scary velosolex thread on ES, which despite a search doesn't now appear to be on the site.

    Bike Forks?

Thanks Dave, I never like the white look either. BH UK eventually sourced the forks through Greyville, as BH Spain and Suntour weren't responding. I'll take a photo of the 'wrong' forks tomorrow.

    Bike Forks?

The shortened version. :) The story started with the dealer, then Maxtrax, then BH UK who did not respond, then BH Spain who did not respond, then a very terse comment posted by me on BH Uk's Facebook page and every country that I could find, then finally direct contact by BH Uk, who then...

    Bike Forks?

The Rockshox are finally fitted. :) The dealer agreed to fit the Rockshox in place of the Suntours which is just as well, as when I took the Suntour forks out of the box here at home this evening, they were V brake only with no disc mount. From my point of view, that's another nail banged...

    Wear and tear

After last weeks ride, I noticed that there was significant movement in the rear cassette of the Neo Xtrem and thought that I'd get it checked over whilst the new forks were being replaced today. As I kind of already knew, the cassette turned out to be worth nothing more than scrap value. Sadly...

Brilliant inner tube idea for hub drives

Thanks Rob, I see that Chainreaction sell the Cobra Tube, but they are expensive. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/fly-cobra-26-tube/rp-prod90559

Brilliant inner tube idea for hub drives

The following inner tube isn't specifically designed for hub drive inner tube replacement, but it's certainly worthy of note. Just a shame that there doesn't seem to be other sizes. :(...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Rub it in why don't you. :(:D There was me today cutting and pitching a roof and longing to get out on the bike. Backin5, I can also highly recommend the Mountain Morph pump. :)

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Nice to see another Neo Xtrem rider on here. :) Despite the odd hassles that I've had with my bike, like you have already discovered, it always puts a smile on my face. :) The front mudguard on mine is a Topeak Defender, which snapped with the first 'light' fall. Thankfully I've managed to kind...

    Wiggle Southern Rough Ride

Thanks, I don't really tear about that much. I just go at my own pace, enjoy the views and stop at any available coffee shops. :) I met a lad recently who took me out on a lengthy ride the weekend before last, and I was actually quite surprised by how much difference that there is between an...

    Wiggle Southern Rough Ride

I'm not really fussed about what reception that I get, my middle finger can stretch a long way.;) I'm only going for the ride, and couldn't careless about timings and the opinions of others. :) I've also booked onto the later events as well. Sadly the Spam challenge didn't happen, but this...

    Bike Forks?

Actually it was probably a fair comment to have made. :) A month or so ago I stopped to talk to guy who had a decent quality down hill bike that he was just taking out of his van to use at a local down hill track. It was a right mess, and looked as filthy as mine did before cleaning it. Even...

    Chain rings and crank drives

Thanks Dave, now that you mention it I seem to recall that you are right.:) Why the hell didn't I remember that one. I guess it was the lack of oxygen going to my brain whilst pushing it. :D
