We picked her new bike up last thing last night, and she absolutely loves it, went on about a 15mile round trip today, don't think any of it bothered her after she got used to the gears etc, mind you i was knackerd when we got home, she was laughing. Shes already planning another ride weather...

    Freego advice please

My partner is now settled on a Batribike , another test ride for her on a Granite and Diamond, and shes put a holding deposit on the Diamond. The Gepida is out now as i honestly cant justify almost £2000, especially as she has seen the price, no getting away with a small white lie. I am fairly...

    Freego advice please

Sorry Juicy bikes, the bike I had stolen was a old model,. It was good to ride, but had lot of problems with gears, brake leavers, and spokes, although had I still had it in my possesion I would probably still be using it. I definatley wont be buying anything off the net without trying out...

    Freego advice please

I can see what you mean, and I could see the Gepida I tried out was a much better build quality to the Battribike, and at £1800 I would expect it to be. I keep hearing Chinese components are improving fast though, the one I tried seemed quite good and was good to ride, but not as good as the...

    Freego advice please

The two Freego bikes are a private sale, there ony 3 months old, i will see if i can try one out somewhere before i travel to see the bikes for sale. There wont be any dealer warranty though, but buying the two new would be about £2550, so £1600 seems a fairly good deal to me, thats as long as...

    Freego advice please

Tried following Gepida Berig 1000.....loved the motor and electrics, superb build quality first crank bike I have ever really tried, didnt like riding position, to sporty for me, and way to expensive 2014 Batribike Granite.....liked the bike as a whole, notkeen on battery on rear rack, good...

    Freego advice please

I have persuaded my partner to buy a electric bike, and we tried her out on a wisper 705 classic bike today, yes she liked it but not the price. I have seen a pair of almost new electric bikes for sale locally, a Freego Eagle 16 amp batter and Freego Regency 16 amp battery for £1600,, while she...

Decesion take to give Bristol a miss, and stick with my Marin as it is for now, going to have a real good look for good quality conversion kit, what I dont want to end up with is some hashed up mess of cables and bits, one of the biggest thing that puts me off is all the ones I have seen...

    Bristol Show

Hmmm, this chat on crank v hub drives is making me think again now, i had intended going to Bristol tomorrow with the intention of buying or at least placing an order for a new bike, was inclined to a Kalkhoff, even though they seem a bit expensive, i may just wait now to see how things pan out...

    Bristol Bike Day - 22nd June 2014

Coming to this event with the intention of either buying a bike on the day or placing an order for one, looking at list of bikes there i am slightly dissapointed not to see Woosh there, considering the praise they get on her I'm puzzled as to why there not exhibiting, i quite fancied trying out...

Been down the Kudos route before, have no intention of doing it again. Nice bikes they may be, not for me. I'll wait and see whats on show etc at Bristol next weekend, looks a very good show from what i have been reading. Have chucked my budget out of the window now, seem some good offers around...

    Convert or ready built

No way at all would I ever drive in Bristol city centre, it will either be the train there or drive and use park and ride. Looking more into it I can see a couple of bikes I would like to ride, plus I belive 50 cycles now have a shop in Bristol as well : ) .

    Convert or ready built

That sounds good, where is it then ?. i like the idea of trying as many as i can, only real concern buying in Bristol is taking the bike back if i had any problems with it, that's sort of why i am looking locally, but choice is not brilliant.

    Convert or ready built

Riding position was fine, I have just gone off the idea of doing my own e bike conversion. Will now be looking for something with similar riding position in a ready built e bike. Will look in Halfords tomorrow, and we have a Bicycle Chain store here in Taunton as well. Other than that I will...

    Convert or ready built

Change of mind on converting my own bike, looked at a couple this week, one was a Bionx system, the other was i think a Cyclotronic ?? not really impressed, the latter was a real mess of cables, didn't look good at all, the Bionx was more professional but ridiculously expensive for what it was...

    Wisper 905 e Help

Didnt ask about the price, I was happy to pay it, anway the seller has very honestly replied advising me he thinks the bike really only suited to 6ft plus riders, so ill stick with my Marin and look for a suitable e kit to put on.

    Wisper 905 e Help

I have only just purchased a used Marin San Raphel DS2 , with the intention of fitting a electric kit later on, but just seen a Wisper 905 e for sale on Ebay for £550, i am very tempted to buy it, just not sure on the bike size being ok for me, after awful experience with a Kudos City some time...
