Even when properly adjusted and when you have the knack they can still give some nasty changes as Alex will attest to. Mine even pulls the back wheel forward just like Alex's bike did. I have no doubt that you would not have got on with a Nexus 8 in comparison with the NuVinci.

It was more Much Wenlock really. I rode to Telford after visiting Ironbridge. I couldn't really find much in Telford apart from some long ring roads with huge cycle path pavements.

I was on holiday in and around Telford a few years ago, I never rode on all those cycle paths either on the ring roads.

That won't make any difference. Better to have the snug fit to the lock than some bikes that allow the battery to be fitted without the key. Mine always needs the key to fit the battery.

If it's solid I doubt it has moved then. Mine passes it roughly central with the B on Bosch.

Is the rear sensor magnet still passing the censor on the rear stay in the right place?

It sounds like you briefly lost power on the system. I've had a similar experience when switching on with my foot on the pedal. Does it not correct itself after switching off and back on again?
