Many many thanks Ian and Flecc! :)

    Lafree brakes

I need some help for my two years old Lafree brakes: a rear SRAM drum brake connected to the p5 gear and a front Rollerbrake. They are getting weak (the rear one is weaker and squeaks too). My local bike shop - who has no experience of such brakes - did regulate them and they are going better...

    more electric folders

Thank you Flecc. Actually the Specialbikes kit is available for 20" wheel but not a smaller one: that corresponds to your explanation.

    more electric folders

Please, are you sure that the Specialbikes motor is the same as the Nano? Looking at pictures the Tongxin/Nano seems me smaller and with a brighter finish - but I can be wrong... Furthermore I remember that when I asked to the Nano-Motor people if it was possible to fit it on a Brompton with 24V...

my bike + suzhou bafang? can i do it?

I don't know where to buy a Suzhou too, but if you are thinking at a cheap kit there is a German eBay seller who has the nine continent, that is quite good value for money (it is the same as the "phantom" sold by Velectris in France): in Italy we have good experiences with it. It is important to...

    many questions from germany

Geemee, why don't you try it? I'd suggest to try a Flyer T4 (less than 2000 euro in your lucky country) and a Kalkhoff Pro-Connect. If you want something less natural but more powerful there is an Ezee supplier in Germany, where you could try a Torq: elektrisches-fahrrad.de - Home - but there...

    many questions from germany

Hello Geemee Flyer S Series are wonderful bikes and if you are plenty of money just get one and enjoy it… But it is true they are uselessly expensive for most uses: the high speed versions are faster than the standard one of course, but with a standard and “cheaper” T or C series you can...

    Biketec Swiss Flyer HS

As far as I know - and please forgive my technical and linguistic imprecision - the HS version allows more assisted pedal turns that the 70-80 of the standard version; it has a 11 teeth motor sprocket, while the standard one is 9 teeth, and it is slightly less effective on the steeper climbs...

Suzhou Bafang Motor compare to Tongxin Motor

The Alu-Rex 36V, the Kreidler and Rabeneick e-bike and the 26" Epple e-bike are special versions of the "Dinghi" made by the Italian "Tecnocarbur": do you think they are using the Suzhou motor as well?

Best Pedelec/E Bike In The World Regardless Of Cost

You are very kind Flecc :) The S-Series I'm speaking of is this one (as in the subject: regardless of cost!).

Best Pedelec/E Bike In The World Regardless Of Cost

I dare say Flyer S-Series for the first type and maybe Heinzmann Estelle for the second one, with a titanium Nano-Brompton in the middle perhaps. But what I've learned till now is that there is not the best electric bike, since the best one is the one that suits your very specific needs.

    eZee / Phylion Li+ battery / Forum

You are lucky in Britain. Never heard of such service in my country (or in any other one indeed). Happy new year to Mr. Ching - and everybody.

Suzhou Bafang Motor compare to Tongxin Motor

I too think that what Mr. Ching says about the Panasonic powered bicycles and the Nano-Brompton doesn’t help correct information. The experiences we have on the Italian forum with the Biketech Flyer completely confirm what Flecc and the others say about the Kalkhoff, and our first experiences...

    STOLEN: New Nano Brompton

Very sorry to hear that faphillips. Did you already report it on the Folding Society web site and in the Yahoo Brompton Talk forum?

    TongXin (a.k.a. Nano) motor project

If I'm not wrong the Nano Brompton is 36V though... Is there anything in the driving that one can bear in mind in order to reduce the drive slip risk?

    TongXin (a.k.a. Nano) motor project

In Italy we had rather bad experiences with the Goldenmotor: Chinese poor quality in the most classical form. On the other hand we have quite good experiences with the Crystalyte and the Nine Continent kits, both Chinese direct drive hub motors if I'm not wrong. They are not the Bionx of course...

    Calling all Kalkhoff Agattu owners

Sorry to be late answering. We haven't any indipendent review in Italy till now, but following Flecc's advice you can check our experiences with the Biketch Flyer on the Italian forum, section "Esperienze" - threads with the name "Flyer" in the title and/or "job" as author. The behaviour of the...

    Review of the Kalkhoff Agattu

Many thanks flecc. Rubbish music indeed - but it's a pleasure to see that the Lafree is not completely dead.

    Review of the Kalkhoff Agattu

Hi Grandad, nice to see you again :) Flecc please help me... you say: Biketech, Helkama, Gazelle, Kalkhoff and... Raleigh as fifth one? And the Giant model? is it the Revive? And the other two?

    Review of the Kalkhoff Agattu

What a wonderful review Flecc. I recognize many features of the Biketech Flyer – this bike seems just as good. With your permission I’d like to translate a few excerpts of your review on the Italian forum, giving the link to your page for who wants to know more (and to learn how a review...
