I do get your point but once configured to my liking, I can forget all about it and just ride. That is my preference too which is why I'm such a big fan of the uncluttered bar and lack of bar mounted user interface, etc... but I do quite like all the configuration stuff when I'm not out riding...

Ok, so a few more pics and additional information... The bar is really sparse with no computer screen or bar mounted assist mode selector. I really like the simplicity, the lack of clutter and not constantly looking at ride stats, etc. although I will use my old Garmin on certain rides...

Great idea to offer a plus size hardtail. Very few 2016 ranges include one, which made my recent search fairly short and sweet. Any idea of ballpark weight?

It's a big purchase, so probably worth travelling to test the bikes of interest rather than ordering somewhat blind off the internet. One the other hand, I bought my first eBike (a Cube) without trying it first and I absolutely loved it! :D

Bulls is a decent brand... and a Bosch CX motor on a decent bike for £1,600 is a very good price imo.

That Cube is a wonderful spec - I'm sure you'll love it. :)

Sounds rather quick to me. Monitor chain stretch a little more closely this time round and you should at least manage to avoid having to replace the cassette after such a short period of time.

I was really impressed with the Bosch motor on my Cube... and that was with the 400Wh battery, whereas I presume you have the 500Wh. I'm not sure all motors are made equal; I felt my demo rides on the Levo (Brose motor) consumed more battery than the Bosch. That's anecdotal at best given the...

For what it's worth, SRAM's EX1 8spd cassette is... 11t, 13t, 15t, 18t, 24t, 32t, 40t, 48t... so smaller jumps between smaller cogs, rather than vice versa.

I often do the same. For info, SRAM say that's the primary reason for premature drivetrain wear on electric bikes... which is why their new electric bike specific drivetrain will only shift one gear at a time (and the gaps between gears a larger supposedly removing the need to double shift)...

You cheated - that's a 9 speed! :D Eddie's bikes are 10 / 11 speed I believe and those chains are more than double his suggested £7. I appreciate £16 for a chain isn't going to break the bank, but was just checking I hadn't missed anything...
