8FUN BBS01 speed sensor cable to short

Any supplier of the BBS01 should be able to supply an extension lead, my trike is about 1.5m motor to rear wheel sensor mount and 1 extension reached it just. My supplier is no use to you as he is in Oz :) If you want to use it in the mean time stick a magnet on the front ring and cable tie the...

    Oh dear. Izip help required.

Scroll down there is a nice picture showing it in place. Otherwise search that forum for My1080, I or E zip and currie motor, they were very popular for modding several years ago. https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=525&hilit= Lots more pictures...

    29er are the fastest bike

cwah, if you are ever down this way I will run my 16/20" wheeled trike against your 29" wheeled bike in a roll down test on a steep hill, I think you will get a very surprising result. Wheel size is only one factor, the tyres on my trike are optimised for minimum wattage rolling resistance by...

Time for a bigger trike - which BBS02?

I decided not to cut mine and bought and extension, but I attached a magnet to the crank ring and cable tied the sensor close by and rode like that until the extension arrived, only issues were speed was out obviously and no speed cut out. Cutting and joining may look neater as there would be...

Time for a bigger trike - which BBS02?

Easiest cure is just use the PAS for now, it cuts in very early on the pedal rotation. Long term how about a thumb throtle mounted on an accessory bracket similar to this (may not be the right size)...

Time for a bigger trike - which BBS02?

Its a bigger job laying the cables neatly than installing the drive. Just make sure the motor is touching the frame in the direction torque will drive it ie, against the tube from the BB to fork, if you don't it will get there itself when under heavy load :) maybe that should be a :(

Time for a bigger trike - which BBS02?

Are they 20" wheels? If so I think you will find BBS02 more than enough power for hill climbing no matter the load.

    Li-Po 6s charging question

They step the input voltage up to what is required. I use mine for 6 cells and it runs off a modified 12v pc PSU, just make sure the supply you use has enough high enough amp rating.

Barfang 8fun 250w mid drive help

Lower your gearing and keep the cadence up, with the correct gearing they will climb any hill without rider input added. The biggest issue is that the default gearing supplied is better suited to a 20" wheel than a 26" if in hilly terrain, fit the smallest chain ring you can.

    E wing 48v 1000w

Actually if the 1000w bike is direct drive it will be worse at steep hill climbing than something like an Ezee hub, I have owned one in the past and it peaked at 2 kw it was good (in a moped way) on the flat and normal hills but on steeper hills its vital to keep the speed up by pedalling hard...

Wow! That flew right over my head!

This folder looks interesting and 699 pounds and 18 kg all up good size for a boot and can be rolled along when folded, looks like a good fit with your requirements. http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?gallego Another possibility with 20" wheels but also a derailleur to deal with and a kilo heavier, 765...

    Q85 fault?

I have recently run the motor with a complete different setup from the motor connector back to the batteries with the same intermittent fault, I have also removed the connector and soldered the motor wires to eliminate the connector as well. Initially it did chug a bit before dying now it just...

    Q85 fault?

The leds stay on when it dies, and I am fairly certain I had the issue running sensorless now I have thought about it. I used to repair electronics for a living so locating issues is not usually a problem but this one is bugging me, if my memory of it playing up sensorless is correct it has to...

    Q85 fault?

Cheers Shemozzle999, no temp sensor, I just re soldered the hall board but no bad joints visible. Wiring to the halls is a possibility but everything test ok, the fault is very intermittent so hard to catch if not in use, playing with the wiring doesn't cause the cut out or make it restart. I...

    Q85 fault?

The motor cuts out intermittently, no repeatable cause, starts working again after a random amount of time, nothing seems to help getting it going again it just decides to work. The motor behaves the same when used with all electronics, wiring and battery replaced. Soldering in hub looks good...
