Yup. always a gamble buying a bike without seeing or riding it. I would ask Woosh for the standover height of the top tube..... it may give you better idea of whether it'll fit your missus.

I've not seen the Karoo in the flesh, so i'm only assuming on sizes..... But frame sizes are subjective, what suits some may not suit others even though they're the same height.

Just realised also, i think you have disc brakes on the Crossfire 3 ? May be some clearance issues there with a front hub motor.

If you do have to file them out, its by such a small amount that i dont think it'll make any difference. But i dont think you'll have to file them out on the Crossfire anyway, i didn't on mine. Only had to file a bit on the inside, where it met the disc bolts on the front motor.

20" frame seems big to me for someone thats 5'6"........ I would have thought the seat would have to be as low as it will go, then you may have probs standing over the crossbar. I'm 6'1" with a 34" inside leg and my hybrid is a 21" frame, i wouldn't like to go bigger.

I will add...... if i were fitting a more powerful (illegal) motor, i would use torque arms and probably would fit brake cut out switches as well.

I fitted a 8fun front hub motor kit to my Crossfire...... It fitted dead easy, although i did have to remove the granny ring, so i could fit the PAS disc on the chainring side. Also just had to file about 2mm from the inside of one the fork drop outs to clear one side of the motor. Never had any...
