I dont think the OP needs an electric bike...... But i do think kits are where the smart money goes, due to a lot of ready made Ebikes being so overpriced. If Cytronex were to fit that bike with one of their cheap ass front hub motor kits, that probably only costs them a couple of hundred quid...

In your work as a courier I would probably go for a hybrid, no suspension, and hub gears. I noticed this on HotUKDeals the other day. Has Nexus 8 speed, may or may not suit you...... only goes up to a size large though, you might want a XL being 6'5", but its certainly a good deal at £299...

Always outside, same as i do with my m/c...... and i've had cars purposely block me as well. Seem to get that far less with my m/c, car drivers seem to have more respect for m/c's than they do for cyclists. I think a lot of car drivers hate cyclists and consider us bottom of the food chain.

I guess for steep hills you may use the middle chainring..... But you dont have to use the front derailleur, I removed mine altogether. In fact i only use the top 4 gears, but it is fairly flat where i live.

I have an Ebike with a hub motor...... i'm almost tempted to try it now. I say almost, because i'm more concerned about myself breaking rather than my inexpensive conversion Ebike.
