I've always preferred v brakes on a bicycle. I like the simplicity of them and its a lightweight braking system. I've also never felt them lacking in braking power. I specifically bought a lower spec bike last year because it had v brakes and not discs, and i'm glad I did, as it made it easier...

It was the kit I bought a couple of months ago, I also paid this price. Must admit I've been very happy with it and no problems at all so far. This kit fitted to my Carrera hybrid goes as well as any ebikes I've tested that were well over £1,000.
