Would you like a wide version of the forum?

I'm not really bothered either way, but I vote yes because there are obviously some on here that do want it. Cant really understand the point of people voting no, because it would be an individual option. Unless you want to stop people viewing the forum in the way they want to.

    parmesan cheese in bags? wtf?

The reason they don't sell the stuff in cardboard tubes anymore, is because it was disgusting stuff that is a world away from real Parmesan cheese. In recent years they weren't even allowed to call it Parmesan, and had to call it Italian 'style' hard cheese or something similar. It was a...

    Disk locks

If you are going to use a disclock in combination with other locks....... I remember a motorcycle magazine called 'Ride' doing testing on disclocks a few years ago. The disclock that was hardest to break open was one of those circular stainless steel padlocks that cost about a fiver.

    Disk locks

Ah, I see what you mean now..... obviously more locks the better.

    Disk locks

I guess it comes down to how much faith you put in a disclock being a deterrent..... myself personally, i'll stick to carrying a U Lock that can be locked to street furniture.

    Disk locks

Yes, after that incident I always did similar..... I had the tube over the disclock key, then when the disclock was attatched the tube went over my ignition key. Thus I couldn't start the bike without removing the tube from the ignition key. Nowadays it doesn't matter anyway, as I don't use...

    Disk locks

The fact that bikes and ebikes are light enough to pick up and walk away with, I cant see that a disclock would be any deterrent at all to a thief. A bike has to be locked to something immovable like railing or a lamp post. I have used disclocks on my motorcycles sometimes, although there was...

    New site

One thing that really bugs me about this new forum, is how the 'New Posts' work. When I'm not signed in to the forum I can see all the threads with new posts listed.... as soon as I sign in, threads I've posted on are not there and I have to then search all the sections of the site.

    London Cyclist Assaulted

As a car driver and a cyclist viewing this vid, I think they were both as bad as each other.

    Bike kits

I can see this debate going round and round about the law on brake cut out switches. Personally I couldn't care less about the technicalities of the law on it... its my opinion they're not needed on my bike how its set up. So I have no intention of fitting brake cut outs.

    Bike kits

I fitted the 8fun kit last September to my Carrera hybrid and I've been very happy with it. It was easy to fit and it seems a pretty robust kit. Time will tell how reliable it will be, but I have no reason to pick fault with it yet. I've not fitted the pedelec sensor and prefer just having the...

    Yes, Prime Minister...

Haha, yes indeed.... Good old John Major and Eggwina, what an unsavoury paring that was. Especially as at the time he was banging on about 'back to basics' and 'family values'..... the hypocritical ****

    Schumacher's Helmet

That was an advertising slogan for Bell motorcycle helmets back in the 70's, it goes something like... 'got a 10 dollar head, get a 10 dollar helmet' This slogan is still trotted out these days like it means anything.... The biggest cause of death & brain injury in motorcycle accidents is when...

    Casio Calculator

I have a Casio G Shock watch, model G-100, that I've had for 12 years.... its still got its original battery and is still going ! I also had a Citizen Eco Drive watch, the company claims that these watches 'never need a battery replacing'...... well the expensive rechargeable battery that these...

Does the forum need a name change or change of emphasis.

I had no problem finding this forum..... you only have to Google 'electric bike forum' or 'ebike forum' and this site is top of the tree. The reason why there isn't many people on this forum, isn't because they cant find it, its because ebikes are such a small niche market here in the UK.

    Datatag systems on KTM Bikes....

So it seems that the jap bike manufacturers are to start fitting this again..... they certainly haven't been for a good few years. I buy a new motorcycle every two to three years, yet I cannot remember last time it was fitted to a bike I bought. Certainly not my current Yamaha, neither has it...

    Datatag systems on KTM Bikes....

One thing I would like to know.... is how you scan these kits with a smartphone. You used to have to use a special scanner, that was supposedly given to police forces.
