Haha steve you crack me up. Phew that sounds like a nightmare! How many of these cyclists are electric, do you see many others? Do you ever see cyclists crash into each other? Where I live cyclists are few and occasional sight, it's mostly country lanes or bus route lanes.. everyone uses cars even just to drive up the...

    Riding safety on electric...tips?

As I gain more riding experience with my electric bike it's apparent the increased risk of accidents with electric bikes over normal bikes.. obviously electric bikes are technically vehicles. Anything capable of moving by itself has the increased potential to crash into someone or something...

    Pedal assist or twist grip?

Oh that's unusual. Is it a new bike? That sounds like it's in full compliance with the upcoming law changes which require the throttle to cut out unless pedalling, if I understand you correctly? On most bikes, the throttle works independently of pedal assist and you don't need to pedal at all...

    Pedal assist or twist grip?

I find that the throttle uses considerably more power and the battery runs down much quicker, if you don't pedal (which is tempting with the throttle).. On my bike, pedal assist seems much quicker compared to the throttle, even with the fully open, but probably because I'm pedalling on assist...

    SURVEY - Research Request

Suggestion: Could also take the weight of the bike, and how people ride, ie: throttle-only, pedal assist only, combination, moderate or high pedalling etc, to give a more detailed breakdown..

Surprising fitness gain from riding the Aurora

Well done, good to hear you're fitter from all the cycling.. it just goes to show, a light regular daily exercise can be more beneficial than intense short bursts..e-bikes are not the lazy option some people imagine them to be. I'm sure cyclists will have fewer health issues like heart disease...

    choices, choices, choices!

    Hi welcome to the forum!
