    Black Friday deals?

The Jarifa model i had was £3600 and i had to sell it for £1200 eight months later. Not one of my better ideas however the Cube c-62 carbon i have now is reliable and performs very good (bosch CX),owned for ten months.

    Black Friday deals?

I owned a Jarifa 27 and it was the best thing i had ever bought until the motor broke, the second motor ran even better than the first one but that failed as well. I liked the jarifa because mine had a long range 17ah battery and nobody else was offering that when i bought it.

Ongoing reliability of Kalkhoff/Focus Impulse 2 motors

It makes no difference who you buy the Kalkhoff from because it is the Daum designed impulse 2 motor that is the problem.I have had three replaced on two different models, never again as i have left the brand.

    Bafang 8fun CD 36v or 48v ?

I am just about to purchase a BBSHD from EM3ev in china.I have read very good things on various forums and their reputation is very good. The batteries that they build are some of the best available anywhere and the warranties are solid and sending stuff back to china is not always needed because...

    Bultaco Brinco

All i can say is be careful because they attract attention from chavs and the old bill, mind you it didn`t help that i was doing 45 mph and keeping up with all the cars on the road. New owner loves it as he uses it for mx practice.

    Shimano Steps range

Don`t be put off by the negative comments of the few because most people on here are more than helpful with some great advice and a few of them are very knowledgeable.

    Shimano Steps range

Range is dependent on so many different parameters and is ALWAYS over exaggerated by manufacturers.Terrain, surface, wind direction and speed, weight, ambient temperature and the amount of assistance used all play a part. On the bosch website there is a range estimator where all different riding...

    BBS02 Top Speed

What speed would the BBSHD be capable of with a 48v 17ah battery, there are videos on youtube of bikes doing 45mph on the flat with this setup or would you need 52v,the rider is pedalling. He has one of those cycle analysts on the bars to show the speed is accurate.

    New bike for the winter

No need to buy a badass just place a magnet 12mm diameter inside the pedal spindle and mount the speedo pickup to catch the cadence signal, the Yamaha motor is the only one that can be tuned this way.

    Chain Suck Kalkhoff

Flecc who is a very knowledgeable contributor on this forum has a Panasonic units support site that has a lot of very useful info on it.

    Chain Suck Kalkhoff

Is the chain the correct pitch for the sprockets (distance between pins) ?,it only has to be a fraction out and the chain will grab at the sprockets and not flow.I fitted new sprockets with a worn chain on mine a few years back and exactly the same thing happened as you describe.Everything has...

Commuting to work on an EAPC. Sweat free and effortless!

The Bosch CX motor is incredible with a dongle fitted,i have a x3 speed on mine and it realy makes it come alive. For off road use only maybe not needed because speeds are lower over rough terrain and hills.

Is there a governing body to report a rogue e bike trader/retailer to ?

Once again he goes above and beyond the call of duty because david and wisper bikes have a fantastic reputation on this forum. From all the posts i have seen on various threads people who buy wispers are always more than happy with them and the service provided.

Ongoing reliability of Kalkhoff/Focus Impulse 2 motors

You can take the gear sensor off by going through the console menu, the instructions are in the manual that can be downloaded from the kalkhoff website if needed.

    e-Fatbikes

The e-fat bikes are incredible in the sand dunes,i watched two people on them this summer and they were riding up and down so easily. On the beach the tyres hardly leave a mark because of the large footprint.

Ongoing reliability of Kalkhoff/Focus Impulse 2 motors

I bought the new integrale S class kalkhoff with the battery in the frame at the end of last year. One of the reasons was because of the claimed higher torque from the motor that i soon found out was absolute rubbish. The bike was very heavy at 28kg and it felt gutless. The motor failed after a...
