Small leaf blower works great for me,after washing i towel the bike and finish with the blower for the hard to get areas.

Hydraulic disc brakes are needed if you like going fast,don`t use rim brakes because of the extra weight of the motor and battery or it could go all wrong very quickly.

I bought a new Kalkhoff pro connect 10 with the fantastic panasonic motor (not impulse) in 2011.When i sold it three years later it had 36,000 km on the clock and the motor still pulled like new. I now have a bike with the Bosch CX and after ten months and a lot of use it is also very reliable.

I have now left behind the impulse motors and ride a Cube bike with the Bosch CX unit.The motor has been ridden very hard in all conditions for ten months derestricted and it still performs like new.It has performance and reliability.

The best mid drive is the Bafang BBSHD, if you go on EM3ev`s website there is a lot of information about fitting and also good info about what batteries to use. Youtube is a good place to have a look how they perform.

I fitted a bafang crank motor to a Whyte carbon bike a few years ago and it was great.The main thing is that carbon frames are oversize around the bottom bracket area for rigidity so it may not go in.Mine only just did.

One of the best e-bikes ever built,i had the 2011 and 2012 models when kalkhoffs were the best because of the panasonic motor ,unlike now. Not sure if batteries are still available for them though.

Cube make superb bikes and in general are good value for the money.

Invest your money in an established brand such as Cube,Ktm,Scott,Giant etc,there is plenty of advice and reviews on affordable quality e-bikes in this forum.
