Yes it has been. It's well built so if i broke it, i think i'd be damaging the rim as well.

    puncture resistant tyres

Tyres good enough by themselves. If you have a tubeless rim, use stans seal otherwise just take a spare inner tube.

    puncture resistant tyres

Agree, I was sick of getting punctures and ran the mtb marathon plus for a year with not one puncture. There's always a compromise which is grip etc which in the end was too much for me. i swopped to smart sams, 2nd best punter resistance and definitely better off road, but not perfect.

    DJI Mavic drone recording mtbing

Thanks that great advise. I'm going to try follow mode walking first and in the clear. the tree situation scares me as you know DJI drone are not cheap, so i might never do this anyway due to risks. I bought mavic for portability and have just bought another bag for when on holiday and i can...

    DJI Mavic drone recording mtbing

Received dji mavic, so far managed to charge everything, and update firmware. Taking my time with this drone, but so far very impressed. Although in beginner mode easy to fly and the video quality is great, can see some creative video coming soon, providing i'm not filming that is.;)

Road / track bike for newbie

Usually do a couple of micro adventures / bike packing each year. They involve a night out either campsite or ask permission and sleep in orchard middle of nowhere. Good fun, honest. Many times, i'll take my time and do a 60 miler, preplanned route. This could be from Ashford to say Dungerness...

Road / track bike for newbie

The ratios on the bosch motor gearing wise are somewhat different i.e. a front 20t chainring rotation is x2.5 so equivalent to a 50t, if you see what i mean. I like having the ability of higher speed, but generally go in eco / off mode at around the 20mph mark, which means i could get about 80...

    London to Brighton

Not just old people, my son really fancies one as he can't keep up with me on a std bike. Kids of today eh! Still don't get why some cyclists are so precious about their no pain, no gain type of cycling. Their modern day luddites ;) I can see, and would hope that modern bikes built in the...

Road / track bike for newbie

Agree, good thought process. I've managed to find my happy medium battery / motor / gearing i.e Haibike 20t on front, shimano xt cassette 11-42 on rear, rs chip with Bosch 2016 motor. It gives me speeds on flat of up to 40 mph max (only for a few seconds mind you), but more importantly climb...
