Making a torque throttle instead of a speed throttle for a cheap controller

Simple answer - He's creating a device to adapt a speed controller into a torque controller.

    BBS02 proper settings for pedaling

Try altering the 'Start Degree' parameter to 2, the minimum accepted value. This defines the number of PAS sensor magnet passes before power is applied and should make the response a little quicker.

Making a torque throttle instead of a speed throttle for a cheap controller

Cool project. You might want to take a look at how GrinTech implements current control on the Cycle Analyst. It features user definable 'gain' and 'dampening' parameters to fine tune the PID feedback loop, allowing compatibility across a wide range of power usage scenarios.

    Another battery technology forecast

Ta for the info. For my usage there doesn't seem a compelling reason to opt for Graphene over Multistars. If they were available as higher capacity packs, it'd probably sway me enough, but I'm currently a bit "meh". I've gotta say that the Nano-Tech packs are looking more attractive every time I...

    Another battery technology forecast

OOI, how fast do you charge your HK Graphene packs? I charge my Multistars at ~1.5C (42Ah @ 63A) without any significant warming, but am looking at replacing them after 3 years of service with a smaller, lighter pack due to lower range requirements nowadays. I'd like to maintain the 63A charge...

    Richbit eMTB

Sometimes you lot are too quick with the pointy finger and "low powered moped" rant. Is it just me, or does that look like any other 250W geared motor? It's certainly not a 1000W rated motor. It possibly outputs 1000W of power and the advert mentions a 1000W battery which would back that up...

Powerful conversion kit for my mtb

Any ability to switch between high and low powered configurations, password protected or not, is not legal. Cyclotricity know this but continue to claim that it is legal. All Bafang BBS kits allow reprogramming via a computer, using a special cable, but they do not allow switching between...

    Wish

Should be alright, it'll just take a bit longer. Won't matter though if you use a few of these 12000mAh 18650's to make up for the fact: https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/1fFdwHL

For Sale Greyp G12S Electric Bike only 279 miles total! £6,500

Hmmm, I think you'll have a hard time selling at that price. The accepted formula (round here at least) for used ebike value is as follows: Price new = 7200EUR + VAT@25% = 9000EUR Minus battery depreciation @ 50% (700EUR) = 8300EUR Minus 1 year bike depreciation @25% = 6225EUR 6225EUR to GBP =...

For Sale Greyp G12S Electric Bike only 279 miles total! £6,500

Hi. Nice bike. A couple of questions if you would: When was the bike originally purchased? Is the warranty transferrable and if so, how long is left on it? Thanks.

    Basic Sans charger mods/adjustments.

To be honest, if the on/off-charge voltage delta is only 0.3V (0.03V/cell), you don't need to worry about it.

    Basic Sans charger mods/adjustments.

This phenomenon is the polar opposite of 'voltage sag' and is directly linked to the internal resistance (IR) of the battery and the charge current. Once the charge is nearing completion and the current is tapering off to zero (constant voltage, or CV stage) the 'rubber band effect' will near...

Best seller for the Bafang BBS01B?

Whatever's available at the pound shop. I don't think width really matters since the spiral stuff will wrap around pretty much anything.

    Installing a 500c display on a bbs02, programming?

I have to say that this doesn't seem like very good VFM to me. For another £28, you can buy the EggRider, which as you state, also gives programming functionality. Add to that, UK support and UK stock with fast delivery times, I'm not sure why anybody would waste their money on the knock-off...

Does getting an e-bike mean you eventually give up "conventional" bikes??

Sounds like you've definitely caught the bug. From experience I can state that before you know it, you'll regularly be hauling around 10kg of batteries to support your habit!

    PAS WHEEL NOT TURNING

It is possible for the PAS sensor to be wired incorrectly (voltage backfed through the signal wire) while the signal LED still flashes, so might be worth testing the output signal with a multimeter. You should see 0V when the LED is not on and ~5V when lit.
