    Andy. Is it possible that you are confusing 'brushed' and 'brushless' motor theory? Some of what you state is true in the context of brushed motors, but not when applied to brushless motors.

    Problems arise when cheaping out on the inverter. Be sure to use a 'pure sine wave' inverter, not a 'modified sine wave' inverter, which puts excessive strain on delicate digital electronics.
